skyPSP Webcam Suite: alpha release - Image 1

Califrag has released the first version of skyPSP. This application is essentially a Webcam Client and Server for the PSP. The developer has stated that this is a work in progress, and as of this version, the webcam server has not yet been fully implemented. Regardless, it's worth a look because this homebrew has a lot of potential.

If you plan on using this program, you will need to have either the ChottoShot or GoCam and have an FTP Server already set-up. Another thing you should know is that the entire program was written in C and does not use the HTML or the PSP browser in any way. Be advised that if you're trying to access a non-functioning webcam or one posting an image larger that 640x480, then the program will crash.

So download it and try it out. The developer didn't include any documentation with the program, so here are the controls of the application:
  • Press R Trigger to take a snapshot
  • Left and Right will change to previous or next webcam
  • Up or Down will enable webcam auto-cycle which will either go to the next or previous webcam after each refresh.
  • Press Triangle to stop the webcam auto-cycle.
  • Press X to enable "Theatre Mode"
  • After startup, pressing the L Trigger will toggle between 1 and 2 second refresh

Qj.. can you please READ stuff before posting it..

YOU DO NOT NEEEEED to have a chotto shot or FTP to run this. It will work without either one of those.

The chotto shot will only be required for the SERVER version. This is the CLIENT version.

Also the if you don't have your own FTP, it will automatically upload snapshots to my own FTP on www.califrag.com/skypsp/snapshots
