RemoteJoy Lite v0.14 - connect your PSP to PC |
Ó
Akind shares with the PSP homebrew community his application RemoteJoyLite v0.14. It's a plugin that allows you to connect your PSP to the PC via USB. Not only that, it also lets you play PSP games on your PC. How cool is that, huh?RemoteJoyLite was actually originally created by TyRaNid, but it was Akind who improved it to the version we have right now. Here's what's new in this version.
Changelog:
- PSP OFF LCD screen is running to correct me.
- 3 seconds mouse cursor and mouse operation to disappear.
- PSP model to determine the image data available to address how to use it.
- Some changes to the setup screen.
- PC / PSP both in the processing speed of some improvement.

is this version compatible with macosx?
Can you disable the UI and just use keypad redirection?
How the heck do you get this to work?
1: Add the RemoteJoyLite.prx in seplugins folder and add it to game.txt and activate the plugin. 2: Connect psp to a usb cable and run the RemoteJoyLite.exe. 3: When promted for a driver, install the Type B usb driver. (Google for it) And you should be good to go.
where do i find the game.txt....it is noy in any folder and did not come with the remotejoy. do i have to make one with notepad or something??
yeah you do
ive never been able to get remote joy to work and i have used lots of methods. maybe this time i will be able to!
I was finally able to get some old version of RemoteJoy to work with iRShell (v. 3.90) by using USBHOSTFS_PC. But is it possible to get this newer version to work with iRShell without unnecessary prx-plugins? Though that wouldn't be a problem, but usblib-driver I definetely won't install. If this is possible with iRShell, how?
this works perfectly on my 4.01m33-2 slim =D!!!!
They didnt include instructions but this is what i did: 1. Put the remotejoylite prx in your seplugins folder 2. add ms0:/seplugins/RemoteJoyLite.prx to your vsh and game and game150 txt files in your seplugins folder 3. enable the plugins in the recovery menu(plugins>remotejoylite[enabled]) 4. exit to the xmb, start up remotejoylite on your computer, and your good to go :D i love it! finally i can use it again!
btw, whats with the *****ed up readme? or is it in another language? oon my computer it comes up as a bunch of symbols. my guess is i dont have japanese or korean or somthing lol.
I can do everything (though game150.txt has no effect in 3.40OE). But when I run RemoteJoyLite it shows only black screen. It won't locate my PSP. This probably works with you if you have installed the usb drivers, haven't you? I would like to use this program with usbhost and iRShell so I wouldn't need to install those drivers. I guess this isn't an option this time? Anyway, seemed to be a promising program with a full screen support + two recording options.
got it to work with game txt but it freezes everytime i try to load a game or emulator...also..is there a settings menu for it? mabey to change the resolution so it isnt so grainy in full screen?
this sounds cool but . . . wth is it actually doing/supposed to do? it says play games on your pc. . . that could mean several things. please be more specific. . . some of us dont have brains. (zombies, what can ya do)
can anyone there share where can i download the type b driver installer
tehskeen.com has a little more info - check their source (awkward) -- RemoteJoyLite v0.14 Akind has released RemoteJoyLite which allows you to use your Sony PSP as a gamepad on your PC while connected with it's USB interface. For those of you who don't own a PC gamepad this might be of some interest to you. What's New? * PSP OFF LCD screen is running to correct me. * 3 seconds mouse cursor and mouse operation to disappear. * PSP model to determine the image data available to address how to use it. * Some changes to the setup screen. * PC / PSP both in the processing speed of some improvement. Download: Here News via pspupdates
however, you have to be registered with maxconsole http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t+20983
i got it to work, but it runs at half the framerate it should. i learned that it is because my psp is connected to a usb 1.0 port. in order for it to run at full speed it needs to be connected to a highspeed usb 2.0 port, which i dont have :(
I have no idea what the hell it says! Its great!!
It reflects what you are playing on your PSP to your PC monitor's screen through your PSP's USB cord, and the picture on the PC is supposed to look 2x or 3x as big depending on your monitor size.
Isn't it supposed to be a bigger resolution when we click it?
it works on the xmb also!!
i am experiancing crashing problems at begging of iso launching and 1.5 stuff. there for im just going to stick with the older version, remotejoySDL GUI 1.52 it still is working for me perfictly, no freezes very little to no lag depending on wuts running on my comp. and it still works with my firmware 4.01 M33-2 guys if u still having trouble with this app and have my firmware or any firmware lower down to 3.00 minimum IT WORKS!
Just wondering why its even clickable if the image doesn't get to be bigger. Bah.
You remember Custom Firmware Extender? The one that let you plays PSP games via PC with a USB and Wifi. Just until 1.9.2 when they decidide to disable the wifi PSP game PC host because was to troublesomecin newer Version like 2.0. Is the same u use Remotejoy, to play psp with the PC screen, ofcourse the same resolution as PSP screen sorta, you can play and also record a video in frames then compile them with some program I don't remember. Also u can use FTP service to copy files PC to PSP and viceversa, using some FTP app to pc. and u have to use usbhostfs and nethostfs also Remotejoy and start.bat to record and play and to use it to last funcionality. Well if someone has tested can tell me i sthe same as CFE? If is I won't download, My PSP still in CFW 3.71M33-4 cuz I don't find any valuable reason to Update. Thanks~ PSPMAN90
ok ive tried this thru the normal way and also including it in the cfe 2.2 plugin.whitch allows me to turn it off and on at will.it crashes on homebrew and psp games at will.this is not acceptiable and is not better than the old remotejoys if it doesnt work/crash freezes alot.the only thing that works perfect is streaming your xmb.the fact that it produces the screen slow might be due to me not having a 2.0 usb port yet.but that wouldnt cause the crashing as the older ones worked fine for me
hey guys help me i downloaded the file and i didnt have a game.txt file or a seplugins folder so i made a game game.txt like some dude said (and btw i didnt write anything in it so if i have 2 tell me) >>>so do i have to make i seplugins folder folder too? ty in advance

the reason that you can't read the readme or the options is because this is the Japanese version... Here's the English version QJ... http://www.fileden.com/files/5938/RemoteJoyLiteEng.zip it also includes a readme, as well as controls and such.
This version is the Japanese version... HERE is the English Version http://www.fileden.com/files/5938/RemoteJoyLiteEng.zip
teh link took me to nowhere. . .
plus thanks to the last link in the english readme, I got this to work in pops mode. Just add these two lines to pops.txt: flash0:/kd/usb.prx ms0:/seplugins/RemoteJoyLite.prx in that order and activate them both :)
ok so thanks for tha english file but my computer dosent locate my device and ive already plugged in the usb cable any otfer way to do it?
this crashes my psp when trying to get into gameplay on FlatOut: Head On. Remotejoy for ir shell doesn't crash. it's cool that you can record .AVIs without having to use a damn screen recorder. the plugin needs just a little more work. it's almost perfect.
Thanks, 73N5H1. That's actually version 0.15, one version higher than this one in this article. It also includes the Type B USB drivers. I'd advise everyone to download this one instead.
cant find an english version of it tho, can anyone?
Where did you find 0.15? Im sure everyone would love to know.
After a bit of tweeking, this is working out awesomely. Playing Breath of Fire III has never looked so good. Only one thing... It doesn't seem like POPs wants to work with this wonderful app. I looked in the english Readme, and saw a link to what looks like the RemoteJoy Lite dev log. Slight problem, it's in Chinese. So I Babelfish'd the site, and from what I could gather between all the gibberish is that you have to edit the pops.txt file in seplugins, and link another plugin located in the flash0 (flash0:/kd/usb.prx). Now whenever the flash0 gets involved, I get a little wary. I'd love to test this out, but possibly turning my fully functional PSP into a slightly less functional paper weight is not quite worth it. Has anyone tried this out?
Oh, and by the way, If you have the XMB plugin activated DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE USB DATA CONNECTION. Your PSP will have a coronary and die. Not really, it will just freak out a bit and crash.
http://www.GiftMonkey.com/?s=44170 Hey, Check out this new site I found called GiftMonkey.com. They give away free high end Laptops, Video Game Consoles, iPods, Plasma TVs, and they even have GPS Navigation Systems. This site is different from all of those others. They don't give you a time limit, and they don't make you signup for 10 sponsors yourself. All you have to do is try one of their sponsored offers like eBay (which doesn't cost anything), refer your friends, and they ship your free gift to your door, also free! http://www.GiftMonkey.com/?s=44170
an active working link available to download the English version? It seems that the file has been taken down at FileDen.
