What this program does is that it lets users boot from the PlayStation Portable's (PSP) XMB to recovery 3.40. It's actually pretty useful, if we may add. Also, effort and dedication can be seen in this program as music has been added whenever you view Recovery boot from the cross media bar.
It is needless to say that this should be used with units running on 3.40. But according to QJ tipster bruce33, even though that the preferred firmware is 3.40, the application should work with all other firmwares. Before using this application, please be sure to browse through the Readme file first.

Please everyone one listen, do not support these homebrew programmers. If you just use official SONY firmware you will never damage your PSP. The reason why these malicious codes keep getting released to the public is becuase you all support them. Please everyone upgrade to official SONY firmware so you never have to worry about your PSP being damaged.

Well Mr. Hendrick,you are very ungrateful. You should be thanking these very talented programers and coders for keeping the psp sales up. If it werent for them I wouldnt have bought my psps, you know why? because official firmware sux!!! plus I payed $200 bucks for my psps so I can do whatever I want with them.

Okay I am confused. Like I am using of course 3.40OE_A but is it possible for me to downgrade back to 1.50? If so what is the method?

The reason at least for me is because I don't own a PS3. Why would I pay so f**king much for that thing. Its not worth it. What is the point to. Just so you can play re-bought PSX games again? Pointless. Plus I can play SNES and other classic systems on my PSP. So goodbye =]

The primary purpose of Recovery Mode is to unbrick Psp's.
How are you going to do that with something that runs from the XMB

Well what I know from this. It is to recover from bricked psp's. But also when I change my display look I do get tired of turning off my psp and such so yeah I find this and other do as well find this quit useful.

n your game folder and go to recovery and go to the thing that says (run program at psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp) that will make it back to 1.5 enjoy
with this you dont have to turn off your psp evry time loser

And as mentioned above, the very first version of this for 3.03 OE still works just fine in 3.40 OE
just use recovery (hold R when you turn it on) and set it to auto launch, duh you fricken retard

Glad to see this released.. As much as I try, I'm never able to access recovery with the whole "holding R button + off" thing (for some odd reason), so this would be pretty useful for me.

I have a 3.10OEA right now, if i want to get back to 3.03OEC do i have to do recovery back to 1.5 and upgrade to 3.03OEC? or can i just do a 3.03 OEC upgrade and it'll turn to 303OEC?? thank you for answering

for recovery mode, if i wanna downgrade back to 1.5 do i put 1.5 eboot in psp/games/recovery, and go to recovery menu and run the eboot?

say what you like about me but i am getting sick of all these new apps. ive been off the psp scene since i first got a psp, an i just begin to look back in and im baffled by all these stupid stuff. what is the point in creating stuff which can be done anyway. this isnt going to make bricking your psp any more fun is it? stick with dark alexes recovery
umm no u dont have to go to 1.5 before 3.03 oe. just put the update flasher eboot (the one in 3.xxoeflasher, not 3.xxoeflasher%) in recovery along with the data.dxar for 3.03 oe-a and launch it.
that's what i did in 3.10 oe-a when topmenu didn't work.
and this recovery eboot works on 3.03 oe-a but i havent used it extensively, but it runs at least.
idiot, you can change oe options and config that can't be done from the xmb but needs to be dun in recovery.
and also other firmware users can use 3.40 oe recovery.

I have a friend in Boston that bricked his PSP just by updating the normal firmaware,every one freaks out about possibly bricking with CFW.the fuxked up thing is SONY wanted to charged him like $200 to fix what THEY broke! BTW he had never ran any homebrew,this was when he had 2.51 and was up grading to 3.03
this is so u can access recovery mode from XMB instead of having to restart the PSP.Say you wanna mess with the flash,normally you have to restart the PSP and hold R,with this you just pop the eboot and get R done
bull*****. you can downgrade without having to go back down to 1.5 firmware. im on a TA-082 psp and all you have to do is use the DXAR Generator by combining the 150 pbp and the 303 pbp. let it generate the DATA.DXAR. do a hash check on it with a hex editor that supports crc32/md5 and sha1 checksums. the checksums match put the dxar in the flasher dir "not the kxploited one" and execute the eboot for the flasher. let it flash with it plugged in. and your done. dont hafta jump thru all that ***** back to 1.50 just to go back to 303. lame

You need custom firmware which means 3.40 oe-a
recover shraight to 3.03 oe from 3.10 oe jsut make sure u got the right recovery file and the right dxar file other wise goodbye psp trust me i know from experience
i like beign a risk taker beside the official sony firmware kinda sucks lmao i like variety and i get that here tell sony to not be so parant like and let us tinker with there firmwares to customize them anyway we want and ill think about it plus i use homebrew more than i play my own psp games so i dont consider it a sony product anymore i consider it an costomizable game player have fun with ur official sony firmware j.p. hendrick hope living in obscurity is enough 4 u

hi, i just upgraded to 3.40 oea. it worked. i already had the previous recovery . firstly will it work for 3.40?
and i simply dont understand when your psp gets bricked you canot enter into your xmb menu. you stay on a black screen with your mem stick light flashing. so how am i saposed to downgrade my psp back to 1.50 when i cant even get into the xmb.

Im new at this and so i u would like some pointers. IĀ“ve recently upgraded my psp to 3.40 when i discovered that it was possible to play ps1 games with the right emulator and homebrews. But im kind a lost. Is it possible for me to run such a program? Do i need any program or downgrade? Tks (and sorry for the bad english but im actually portuguese).

yea i would like to know how to unbrick my psp, i was running a flash program and now all i doing when it come on is giving me a white screen then turning black.i'm using 3.40 custom firmware and i run the recocery program already but nothing happen.
when i try to start the application it tells me game cannot be started file corrupted..what do i do?
for my psp it says content cannot be displayed what's up with that?
