PSX Icon Pack v1.00 *UPDATED to v1.01* |
Ó

Loyal QJ fan and talented homebrew dev Xaniseth has released PSX Icon Pack v.1.00 for the PSP. This app has all the icons and backgrounds in the proper resolution and saved as .PNG files. When using a program such as Popstation GUI you can simply choose from Xaniseth's pre-prepared icon sets.
This is not the complete game set for all PSX games but Xaniseth plans to include all in time. The ones you will find here are the more popular titles. If you have a fave icon from a not-so popular game, Xaniseth says he does accommodate requests and will try his best to put it in his next update.
The partial list of icons included in PSX Icon Pack v1.00 are:
- Final Fantasy (7 and 8)
- Tony Hawk Pro Skater (1,2 and 3)
- Tekken (2 and 3)
- Syphon Filter
- Metal Gear Solid Integral
- Chrono Cross
UPDATE: Here's the next update to the PSX Icon pack; it's been upgraded to version 1.01. Compared to v1.00 this has far more icon and background sets - over 60 compared to v1.00's 24! You just need to unzip this folder into the folder where your favorite PSX ISO converter resides and enjoy.
Xaniseth's also got plans for this icon pack; he says that he plans to add all the Sony SLUS codes and hopefully a front end combining a Popstation GUI type program with a drop down menu system. Stuff to look out for, eh?
Thanks Xaniseth! This is a great way to start 2007!

Looks gooood
This is great for people who don't know how to make their own icons (like me) :)
the pack I have has like 200 games in it.
You can easily resize your own images in paint and save as png, and for those who can't even do that, there's a huge thread of the mods part of the forums where people are making custom images! It's good the guys tried to do something, but did it really need this? They should have just been posted on the thread.
Crono Crisis?!?! I searched and could only find: -Chrono Cross -Chrono Trigger -Time Crisis The picture in side the crono crisis folder in this pack says chrono cross btw.
Btw, there's a typo: Crono Crisis is really Chrono Cross. And i'm playing it at the moment ;) Great game indeed.
Tonzar thanks for the heads up on the crono cross typo. I used the proper graphic for the icon, and background. I just typed the wrong name in when creating the folder. I also noticed a couple other errors upon going back through the icon sets. Most notably that I only made the icon for the first disc of Final Fantasy VIII. When FF8 is a four disc game. That has since been fixed. I know it is easy for alot of us to resize and save these icons on our own. I just figured it would be cool to make a zip file that has all of them in one easily downloadable file. Call me wierd, but I am a fan of doing things the easy way. Or maybe im just lazy..... But anyway. I will be updating this as fast as possible. Since I havent the slightest clue as to how to program anything. I thought this would be a way I could give back to QJ and the homebrew community. I know it isn't a huge contribution but its something. If anyone has a specific game in mind let me know I will try to include all request in future revisions of this pack. Thanks for the comments and support. Xaniseth, your efforts are much appreciated. Sure some people can make their own icons, or access a forum that requires reading 75 pages of talk about custom pics and whatnot, but like you, I believe in convenience. Your icon pack will save me and lots of others alot of time and questions by having the icons in one easy to find file. Like you said, it's not much to some people, but for others who are usually clueless about homebrew and emulation (and don't feel like reading several threads each containing 50+ pages to find what we're looking for), it'sa great resource, and the promise to keep it updated makes it even more valuable. Keep up the good work! You are appreciated. Hey, at least you're contributing SOMETHING. Some people complain and insult others and don't contribute anything, not even answers to n00b questions.
i agree dont listen to them
good job cant wait to play chrono chross but not enough memory. hey i mihgt not contribute to the scene but i try to help people where i can go back to past threads and youll undoubtably see my name i agree peoplke are harsh rude obnoxious bums and critizism only stretches so far. thanks man im gonna look for a final fantasy tactics one but im afraid to change it my psp game works faster than my psone game trust me checked it timed it and proved it to all my annoyed at all my ramblings friends. ill just stick with hot shots golf for now cause like the baby said (dont ask who) change is good but changing an clean diaper for another is wasteful. but for future games i cant wait to try this thanks
Im playing games on new years instead of drinking!!!!!! No thats not sarcasm i am a nerd, ........dammit!!
