PSPX48: a HP48 Calculator emulator updated! |
Ó
zx-81 from our forums has just updated his HP48 Calculator Emulator for the PSP. For those who don't know, it emulates a pretty expensive calculator on your PSP for free. Here's what's new in v1.0.4 :
- Load external application or game files and libraries (With .48 and .lib file extentions)
- Hardware reset of the HP48 (Inside the application file selector window)
You need the HP48 BIOS to run it. He hasn't distributed it with the application because it's not GNU. We have given a link below where you can find it.
As always, this latest version is also GPL. So you're free to have a look at the source code and modify it to your liking. Be sure to check out the readme since it mentions a lot of features which might be very useful.

My dad has one of these calcs. I can't wait to show him how I can do the same thing on my "game thing" as he likes to call it. ha ha I wonder if this will let me take it to my math class.

Here is the page that the rom is on
http://www.hpcalc.org/hp49/pc/emulators/power48roms.zip
Hope this helps
thanks thats perfect.
Where do i put the rom file and what do i name it.
You have to name it rom (without any file extension). Everything is in the readme file, even a link to the rom file i use on hpcalc ;).
zx-81 , you are one productive guy indeed
I name the rom file ROM and put it in the folder. I turn on the calculator and it says CAnnot load Rom. wtF?
If PSPX48 says "can't load rom" it means that it haven't found your file. So may be you have call it rom but with a file extension ...
my school doesnt allow any electronics what they dont know is that by not specifieng that that the teachers also wont let us use calculators and stuff so... man i wanna be able to take m psp to schoo liek last year
