PSPTube - Image 1

PSP Homebrew Developer SofiyaCat has come out with a new version of PSPTube, the app that lets you view YouTube clips on your PSP without having to download and convert the FLV files.

According to Ranmax09, the app has a new interface, some new features, and now also runs the videos in sync. However, SofiyaCat does not recommend using it as the app is unstable and still quite buggy.

Users are reminded that the program is still unstable. Please use the app with caution. Please visit our forums for the new button configuration, documented and provided by Ranmax09.

Here's the changelog for PSPTube 20071222 as translated by Google and AltaVista's Babelfish:
  • Bug report in regard to this version is not necessary.
  • Quite unstable, so please do not use it much. If also redistribution is possible, please refrain.
  • It is not the case that all functions which it has planned are mounted.
  • Please insert in the GAME folder. There are many many many bugs at this version.
  • This is snapshot now. I do not recommend to use this version.
Thanks to PSPrulez for the tip!

This plays video much better.

install in 3.xx game folder make a new folder called psptube

Make sure you select 3.xx kernell for the app to work.

if you don`t it will not run properly.

Start the app

use cross button to enter search,

circle button to make psp tube enter your search terms in psptube.

when the list of video appears use left right shoulder buttons to go page forward and backwards.

use circle to play selected video

up down buttons to scroll through the list.

Hope This helps

This works perfect for me so far.

Smart app and one of my most used

This is much much better than the old one

No other app can do this so far so its people only choice for youtube video.

Yes improvement like being able to stream and store the videos would be nice. Better use of the buttons or even instructions would help. But hey thats why I posted the small guide above.

» hmmmm

» still

even tho tis a bit buggy, the UI is a million times more awesome.

by w00tguy123 - 2007-12-22 11:11
» more controls

also if you press square while watching a video, it changes screen to show either the video you're currently watching, the list of videos you searched for, or both.

I think select changes the view from your favorites, to what you've searched for.

Triangle brings up a wierd menu, and it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone read japanese?

» Nice

I really like this program, this new version is miles ahead of the past one. Only problem I have is I can't seem to find a button to pause the video. :-\ It's really quite an application however. :)
