PSPTimer v3.0 - Eggs or noodles?

Ok, this is one of the strangest homebrew applications i have ever used. Raio has released his PSPTimer v3 homebrew application...and as you can see by the screenshots, it's a girl holding a cup which says 'noodle timer' on it.

From what i can gather, the application is supposed to be an egg timer, but then why does it have 'Noodle timer' on the box? Is it a noodle or an egg timer? Anyway, it shows the time (GMT +8 hours) and date in the bottom left corner. The animation starts with an egg cracking, then changes to what looks like a tube filling with blood, which i guess, is the timer. The words 'PSP Timer' are displayed in the corner, along with an ascending timer. Whatever it is timing, noodles or an egg, it finishes in about 180 seconds (3 minutes). After this amount of time the picture of the girl changes to look like she's eating the noodles, and you can press start to exit the application.

It's...bizarre to say the least, but I'm sure you can find a use for it. If you can find some good uses, please enlighten me, I'd love to know! If you can read Japanese, then check out the developer Raio's website. PSPTimer v3 comes packaged with 1.0 and 1.5 versions, and I can confirm that the 1.0 version does work with the latest eLoader. Sure, it's useful if you want to time an egg, or some noodles, if that's what its for - or even better, be you could be inventive and find something that takes 180 seconds to do, and use it for that.

I believe "egg-timer" is generic for 2 to 3 minute timers for just about anything. Even perhaps how long it takes the average QJ.net reader to lose their load :)

If someone actually needs this program on their PSP, you have the attention span of a peanut. If you can't take 3 mins to stand by the stove, you need to put some good food into your body (aka: NOT raman noodles), stop drinking that Red Bull you have in your hand, stop taking those pills you find downtown and go to bed.

Just my thoughts. Imma go make some noodles with this cool timer chick. She digs me, I can tell by that wild look in her eyes....

# Good for when boiling water for ramanGuest 2006-04-16 13:38
This good if you make your raman over the stove. Almost all the packages say to boil the water for 3 minutes on the back of the package. It's for people that don't want to look at a microwave/oven clock for 3 minutes waiting for time to pass. That doesn't mean you can leave the raman alone though. Most of the time you can't just let it sit and boil, you have to move it around a bit with a s***** or somthing. (Because in dried form it's in a big block...the noodles need seperated, and the water boiling isn't going to do it for you.)

And I say you must be talking about a different kind of noodle u tard. Cup ramen is what this can best be used for. Poor boiling water into the cut, seal, and wait 3 min. You have the ignorance of a peanut. So there.
