PSPoste Beta 1

E-mail on the go is something that we all crave. It's like text messaging for free, and until now, there hasn't really been an e-mail client for the PSP that had complete features. We say "until now" because the PSPoste development team has just announced the release of PSPoste Beta1 - a fully functional e-mail client for the PSP with both POP3 and SMTP mail protocol support. The feature list of this client is really long, and once you finish reading it you'll wonder why it took so long for such a client to come to the PSP, and you'll realize that this is just what you've been missing out on.

PSPoste Beta1
supports the POP3 and SMTP mail protocols as well as allowing the composing, retrieving, storing and viewing of emails from multiple servers. Users can choose from 3 supported input methods; graphical overlay keyboard, p-sprint or ThinkOutside IrDa keyboard; whichever method you prefer to use to make your e-mail experience much better. PSPoste doesn't currently support deleting mail from the server, so any e-mail you do receive wouldn't be permanently lost, although this is not a guarantee either.

The only thing which could cause you a bit of trouble is that
PSPoste uses the memory stick to store email, so any crash, loss of power or removal of the memory stick while PSPoste is running could cause corruption and data loss of any data on the memory stick. So be careful. If you can, use a spare memory stick to load this application. This is a beta, so you can expect there to be a few bugs that the PSPoste development team will still have to spray with their very own coding can of Raid.

Note: At the request of the developers, we have not hosted the download at our download site and we'll direct you instead to the developers' site (click on the source link). QJ.net will not be responsible for any content that has not been hosted at our download site.

I think this program works phenomally well. I have had no problem with it so far. Works flawlessly, and I love the UI.

Like it ... haven't actually tested getting or sending email yet, but I like that you can work on / read emails without having to be connected. Nice job!

» free compatable email account

Well I dont know if you can use Hotmail on this becasue it uses Stmp, but I know that your Yahoo email account will work on it becasue it can use stmp, yahoo and hotmail are both free email accounts

» gmail

gmail is pop too. only problem is it requires server authentication when loggin in (not supported) so that's where i stopped. hopefully they'll add it in a later version. it is a good looking program like others have said.

» hm...

lots of potential! 1 thing im worried about is the keyboard. there could be an option to set a whole thing at the bottom of the screen, that can scroll.
