pspmp3 (beta): Newest mp3 App for the PSP |
Ó
Sturatt has posted his homebrew a few days ago and not a lot of people got a whiff of it because right at about the same time, gpSP got released. Of course, we support all of you guys, and we're doing our best to post your homebrews up here. Good thing Sturatt himself was able to tip us off.
pspmp3 is, quite simply, an mp3 application. And while the developer has admitted that it's not one of your "life-changing" programs for the PSP, it served a learning experience for him as a coder. Some things you might want to know about this app:
- only supports 500 files being read, with 200 char long paths
- only supports 200 different albums, with 50 songs each
- only supports 300 different artists, with 60 albums each
- only supports 100 subdirectories in each directory
- doesn't handle mp3's without ID3 tags very well but the developer is still looking into it
- L shoulder- switch between currently playing list and media library screen
- R shoulder - bring up playlist menu
- X - play song (while on currently playing screen) or add artist/album/song to currently playing list (if on media library screen)
- Square/Circle - previous/next song
- Triangle - pause song
- Left/Right - switch between artist/album/song categories while on media library screen
- Select - exit

there is alot of these out, what is the difference then just using the regular psp mp3 player it makes no sence to me.....
well unlike the psps standard mp3 player with this one you can underclock the processor allowing the battery to last much longer, plus thers coooool visualizatios that make you go like wooooooshh and stuff and dont tell me you dont wanna go up to your friends and make em go like wooooossh
yea dude wooooosh
noobz...they dont even know what the woooooosh movement is about...
They should make an Oggplayer, Im having trouble finding a decent one that works decently.
like in file assistant, you can turn on an fx option to make to mp3 sound even better....please add something like that!!!
this should set it apart from the others
I hope this one will become a great player with time (that is, if it's not abandoned after the first releases). At the moment it's impossible to find a decent mp3 player with playlist support (m3u or whatever) and processor underclocking. Moreover, very few players load the whole song in the PSP's RAM instead of streaming from the memory stick -and thus reducing its life, if I'm not wrong, so that'd be cool too.
This would turn out to be really good if the author don't abandon it, also, ahem.. wheres simple amp? and isn't someone sitting there wondering "hmmm what if there was a "Ipsp"? ipod mp3 player style!
