Homebrew coder Zx-81 has released version 1.0.2 of his PSPIRC application. For those who haven't heard of this application, PSPIRC is a basic internet relay chat client for your PSP, allowing you to go online and chat with people all across the world using your handheld.
The newest version of the client boasts some impressive additions, such as support for multiple channel usage and private messaging, making it even more like its PC-based counterparts. In any case, here's the changelog for Zx-81's PSPIRC version 1.0.2:
- New IRC engine (based on Afkim IRC engine)
- Multiple channels support
- Private messages support
- New danzeff keyboard and mapping
- Display Channel and user list
- Add tabs in the console window
- New login menu with Nickname (previous login save data are not compatible with this version)

- Increase the text input field in the console window
- Add word list in the main IRC menu (let you choose a word in a list, using word.txt file)

yup i'm first XD
Yay finally a working IRC program by my emulating god ZX no less.

This seems a lot more developed than the last one. A got a few bugs, though:
1. If you specify joining multiple channels on server connect, you'll be connected to the other channels you specify, but channel tabs never show up for them. You can observe this by looking at the channel through a real IRC client while you connect.
2. If I attempt to connect to a server and it times out, returning me to the profile screen, attempting to connect again will quit the program and return me to the XMB.
In fact, I think trying to connect to one server after disconnecting from another in general causes some issues. Maybe it's the new IRC engine? I can't be sure.
I'd also look into multiple server support, if you can. That'd be even more handy, imo.
This application is outstanding and I really like the benefit of multiple channel support!
I did come across an error. I cant recall how it happened, but I joined 2 rooms I found on the join list and for some reason it kept wanting to switch over to the console tab. I tried pressing 0 to close one of the rooms I was in and it didn't close it. It got pretty annoying when it kept automatically switching over to the console every half a second. I exited, and when I tried to go back on IRC I got timed out. Hopefully I didnt get k-lined with flooding. :(
You should also fix the user/pass thing because some networks dont require it, and if you dont enter anything you get invalid parameter error.
But other than that, I give you a thousand thank yous! I love irc, and use mirc frequently. I even used Wipeout to get onto some webpage that hosted an irc page specifically for psp users back in the humble beginnings of psp homebrew!
please keep up the great work Zx! You have my support!
yea, this is pretty good
@all: thx
@nibesto, @frepp: thx for your feedback, i will correct those bugs

Nice program, works well. However I don't like the whole danzeff keyboard thing compared to the Sony way. For me it's much slower to use danzeff to the Sony keyboard.
