PSPDev for Win32 Unveiled |
Ó
Developer, xorloser, created an installable PSPDev environment for Win32. According to the good developer, this was done "using the latest toolchain script and pspsdk available at that time. This contains all you need to start developing for psp on a windows machine, presented in a nice, easy to use, installable format."It contains the latest pspdev compiler and tools built on the GCC v4.0.2 toolchain and patches. It also contains the current (direct from svn) version of pspsdk precompiled. xorloser would just like to remind those who will be getting this that when installing, DO NOT install to a directory path that contains spaces! He also wants to extend his thanks to all those who helped make the toolchain and pspsdk what it is today.
Changelog:
* uname now returns the correct system type (windows) for scripted stuff
* rm.exe now deletes files using wildcards
* rmdir.exe has been copied to cyg-rmdir.exe (to resolve dos rmdir command conflicts)
* mkdir.exe has been copied to cyg-mkdir.exe (to resolve dos mkdir command conflicts)
* echo.exe has been copied to cyg-echo.exe (to resolve dos echo command conflicts)

So it makes games for psp?
to #1; this is an integrated developement environment, meaning it is a bunch of tools put together so programmers can make ***** for the psp. This ***** includes, but is not limited to, games.
this is the best devkit for psp in the web or not?
are there any help guides for this? making a simple game or simple software for it maybe?
Why the X-Win logo? Nothing to do with the PSP, it's an X-windows program.
+1 ... What the starnet logo is doing here lol ? a bit confusing when you know this X-window server. BTW, keep up the good work, it's cool to see sdk/installer/environement for windows. Hope to see many new coders now lol ...
does this need a news? you can do this in 2 hours with cygwin (90% of them building so you don't have to stay at the computer) and anyway there are a lot of ready package what's so new in this?
Thanks for posting! Ignore #7.
upon unzipping AVG Reports: While opening file: PSPDevWin32\PSPDevsetup-06060214.exe Trojan Horse Downloader.Zlob.ANW False Positive?? Could someone with another AV product scan it and settle my mind?
and go there http://wiki.ps2dev.org/psp:toolchain at least you can upgrade by yourself without waiting never to come upgrades
Somebody clearly doesn't see the purpose of the package.
Is this Windows for psp? Why windows 32? I like XP better.
they're both copycats
This is great. #12 you're frickin' stupid, and #7 you have some patience to wait 2 hours rather than 2 minutes...
because i do it by myself and i don't see the purpose of using something premade you just need one file to setup the paths (you can do it also by the global paths) and you are ready to use a newly built from toolchain sdk, gcc, binutils, gdb and so on from the windows prompt. you just use the cygwin prompt to build it then you don't need it anymore. also in this way 1-you don't use strange installation packages 2-you can use it also from a cdrom
Seriously, that would be really helpful.
