PSP Homebrew developer hotter has released a new version of PSPconsole, the swiss knife VSH plugin that has several useful features in its toolkit. It has games, apps, and a function that will let you sort your games. No changelog was given with this release, but here are the release notes:

Features
  • Quickly see battery info.
  • Delete, cut, copy, rename, view properties of file/folder, set them hidden/read-only,
  • View text files.
  • Play C snake, Tetris.
  • Sort your games and homebrews.
  • Use calculator.
  • View calendar.
  • And all that you can do from XMB menu when you are listening music or watching videos.
Install
  • In recovery menu disable VSH menu, then copy "seplugins" folder to psp card, if you already use some plugins don't overwrite
  • vsh.txt, just add "ms0:/seplugins/PSPconsole/PSPconsole.prx 1" in it. Turn off psp and then turn on.
Usage:
  • Press select button to open PSPconsole.
Basic control:
  • SELECT - on/off menu; minimize;
  • SQUARE - save; options;
  • TRIANGLE - reset changes;
  • Good luck figuring out all menu control ;)
Thanks to Aaron and Hotter for the heads up!

somethings screwy

Fat1001 on 5.00M33-6 Fallowed installation directions. added files to "seplugins" and added "ms0:/seplugins/PSPconsole/PSPconsole.prx 1" to VSH txt. enabled it in recovery menue under both "plugins" and "configuration" but didn't work. I'm still getting the default M33 console. Dunno, I fallowed the directions and it didn't work.

nothing is screwy, its you

you forgot to DISABLE the VSH MENU in the recovery menu. Recovery Menu>Configuration>VSH Menu (disabled) thats why you keep getting the original.

.

I have a fat PSP on 5.00 M33-6, and it works fine. Did you disable the VSH menu before installing it? I just disabled the VSH menu, installed it, and rebooted the PSP without changing anything else in the recovery menu, and it worked.

most likely memory stick

I have this same problem with my 4GB Lexar memory stick. It does not allow me to use plugins at all. If you can not use ANY plugins, its your memory stick. Get a SONY or Sandisk. they are good. and cheap nowdays.
