and have a really kickass app cheers papa
I don't know if there's any other PSP alarm clock apps out there, kinda new to the homebrew scene, but this is great :). Can't wait to give 'er a go.
This is great. I have been waiting for something like this. Thanks SodR.
now you think i'll be leaving my psp on all night just to make some noise with those cheep ass speakers ..... lol
does the psp have to be on the whole time or can it be in sleep mode? Seems like a dumb question.
the psp has to be on all night
I believe this app should work on sleep mode or woudln't that defeat the whole purpose of a alarm clock?
when i fisrt bought my psp i wanted an alarm for it but they didnt intregrate the feature but now its here im not going to put it just yet ill wait till the next release NICE WORK SODR!!!!!
theres must be an electrical outlet near your bed
I just tested on my 1.5 and it won't wake out of standby. This makes it not so useable for me. Still great werk dude! P.S. checked out the homebrew loader and kxploit that the included TXT file linked me to, good stuff.
i am wondering how much power it consumes to just stay on with the screen turned off (hold the screen button for a few secs or setup to auto dim). It probably could stay on for days like that but has anyone tried? plugging it in is an option but the other way is much more functional i think id keep it in my playgear case while its running to keep dust off my screen. i like this app thanks to whoever made it
There should be a free outlet near your bed. :p I'll definately try this out. I can never seem to wake up to my alarm clock buzzer. Maybe my favorite MP3 will. :)
I always wanted an Alarm clock for my PSP! Great work! :)
I wouldn't want to leave my psp on all night. I would think there would be some kind of negative effects from leaving it on so long. just my opinion.
Great work been waiting for an alarm for awhile. Lets not hang on the negative that it doesnt work in sleep mode. This will be fixed in the future i assume. I also agree that leaving your PSP on for a long time would have negative effects. Anyways keep up the great work SodR
More props for the geezer programming this app, but come on guys, do u really want to keep your prized £150 psp on all night, just to wake up to your fav mp3 song!! My mobile can do that..
Most of the mobile phones have a stronger speaker for things like this. My PSP can't play as loud as my cellphone can on alarm, and also.. PSP's aren't made to be an alarm. Even though it can be, there definetly has to be a sleepmode for an alarm to where it will be clocked to 1 mhz. If not, then that kills the point for having a PSP Alarm, since the PSP's life is only about 4-5 hours.
thanks dude, ill definatly check this out, sounds cool
i want it since the psp has been released !!
convert the timer/alarm function to work as a plugin for PSPRadio... that's a winner
GUI and add to PSPRadio, woudl be great! OR add this to Artillery or PSP-OSS! This is the kinda thing we need in the shells, to make them better than the XMB!
You don't need much CPU power for a clock, so why don't you clock down the PSP to like 10MHz and turn the screen off to save battery life?
nothing new, PSP PDA has this function already :|
Please make sure that you have enabled "24 hour time" and not "12 hour time" otherwise it wont work. And the program already runs at 1MHz (I think this gives the PSP about 1 more hour in battery life). I don't think I can add it to a shell (since I would need the source for that but does PSPRadio have a plug-in function? THat would be nice. Regards, SodR
does it work on firmwares higher than 2.0?
excellentt progress in the homebrew scene making usefull apps
No, leaving your PSP does not have any negative effects. Its like any electrical device, the more you turn it on and off, thats where the negative effects come from. Power surges. But obviously you cant leave it on all the time, thus NO negative effects from this device. I use sony's location free player at night to watch my favirite tivo'd shows before i go to sleep, and the darn thing never goes into sleep mode, unless i just let the battery run out. But what i do, is i have a charging stand + sound system, so it never runs out of juice. Only problem is i dont think it would exit the location free player for the alarm clock, guess you cant have it all.
This is really nice, the only downside it has is the fact that the PSP is SOOO quiet that I wont be able to hear it going off.
Well it woke me up this morning to queens of the stone age haha. Yeah just set the backlight to go off after 2 minutes and not let it go into sleep mode. The only problem is I hate getting woken up in the morning so I usually bash the alarmclock trying to find the button. This morning I woke up and panic'd cause I thought I smashed my psp hahaha.
what a piece of turd
hey sluts lick my ass suds dumb skanks
where do you and how do you install it.
Flai and asdf are dumbasses. If you don't like it, keep your damn comments to yourself. He worked really hard on this and He probably hates to get **** from people like you.
its only one song... couldnt you crank up the sound of the mp3 file on Itunes or what ever program could do it... i think ituens does tho.
i find it funny people call it a "GUI interface", they say interface twice its like "PIN number" which means personal identification number, so you are saying personal identification number number. pfft
are the songs suppose to be really fast and squeeky... ?
does it work on 2.70
does it work on 2.70
SodR, yeah the latest versions of PSPRadio have both a browser (links) and a game (tetris) working as plugins. Your alarm as a plugin would add more functionality to an already awesome program. Good Luck with it Papa
its should work even when psp is turned off just like cell phones.
I agree with #14. I dont want my PSP on all night, who knows what that'll do to it. But this is still cool. Good job SodR.
What is the latest firmware version this will work with????
2.6
does this work with 2.6 and where do i put the eboot for the alarm clock which folder and how do u install neogeocd i installed it got a couple of metal slug in but when it loads the emulator u see the game but it just wont start

I would seriously appreciate a playlist. That way I don't start to hate one song because it means I have to go to school :P
i've tried a few different mp3's but they dont seem 2 work. when the time comes, at the bottom it says, 0 kb/s audio MPEG layer (unexpected layer value) stream at 0Hz and no sound plays. Whats wrong???
