PSP2Joypad

Thanks to Alexmae's tip, we can all enjoy Stefano Rusello's PSP to Joypad version 0.2. You might remember a feature we did a few weeks back on his first release of the program. Just to refresh your memory, PSP to Joypad allows the user to connect your PSP to a PC via WiFi (tested with WiFiMax) and use it as you would a typical joypad. It can support two PSPs at the same time, without having to edit the IP address as well as simulating the keys L2 and R2. Another famous creation by Russello by the way is the very useful PSPBrew.

You'll make the most out of the site if you're Italian or if you're familiar with the language, but if not, you'll have to make do with crude online translations. It'll also help if one of our Italian friends out there translate it for all of us. We used Babelfish to translate the page and here's what we got:

"E' possible the program to qualify or to disabilitare to chosen analogic in its the two aces X and Y and to set up the sensibility (being put the sensibility to the maximum will have the same effect of the pad digita them)." This may also bit may also be useful: " E' possible to select the IP to which connecting the PSP directly from the same Homebrew without editare some rows. E' possible moreover to set up the type of those adopted a position in the PSP trà logon. E' possible to disabilitare the echo of the keys. Disabilitandolo will be possible to avoid the lag of the keys that in some games could have an undesired effect."

You've posted the news wrongly! The only update in this version is that it's possible to disable the keys echo so there will be less lag while playing a game. Wird i wrote you that in the submit form.. Anyway the author site it www.stefanorussello.it but the source is www.psp-ita.com Thanks

Thanks a lot

Now we can play with the worst D-pad on this planet even on our PC and with a laggy wifi connection. Anyway its a nice work and a good concept...

Good Job

Good job, the two simultaneous PSP's is a nice feature and the echo function improves the very-little-lag. It would be nice that this program could emulate a real joystick for Windoze just like the WiFiConnect but with the two joysticks option.

wificontrollr

how does this compare to the wifi controller?? so does this allow us to use the d pad instead of the analog.. cuz that would be great...

the IP input is the problem..

Yes indeed, the IP Input requires 3 numbers for each space, so make a file called IP in the folder and just put your IP in it, or repace the IP that is already there. this fixed it for me~

Wanna help you with translation

The program allow you as a wireless joypad. It's possible to connect 2 PSP at the same time. The program can be used with a wi-fi dongle ( tested with the wifimax) working as an access-point, or with a wi-fi router. To use router, the port 8081 must be forwarded to the IP of the PC who the program is running. It's possible to activate or deactivate both the PSP analog controls X and Y and set the sensitivity ( setting it to the max will be like using the digital pad ). In some programs , emulators etc etc... is better to set keys directly from the keyboard and then use them with the PSP. It's possible to emulate L2 and R2 keypress, if you like to emulate a PSX , holding down the START or SELECT and pressing L or R. It's possible to select the IP to where the PSP will connect directly inside the homebrew, without editing any file. It's also possible to select the type of connection from the "presets" inside the PSP. It's possible to deactivate "keys echo". Setting it off allow to avoid "lag" and thus problems in some games. p.s : sorry, i translated it in a few minutes. I wish it can help you. Keep up the good work !

Download problems.

Whenever I click "Download" it just refreshes the page. And Person are you seriously that much of a dumbass? Ad-Hoc connects PSPs locally, that was totally off topic.

Another translation

"It's possible for this program to enable or disable the analog stick in its two axes X and Y and change the sensitivity (putting the sensitivity to the maximum will have the same affect as the D-Pad). This may also be a bit useful. It's possible to select the IP of the connected IP directly with the same Homebrew without editing some rows. It's possible moreoever to set up the type where it will be recognized during logon. It's possible to disable the "echo" (not sure what he meant by this) of the keys. Disabling this will allow avoiding lag of the keys that wasn't good for some games." This is the best I could do as well, hope you guys enjoy =D

DJShrimpy are you that much of a dumbass? Ad-Hoc does not only refer to PSPs.... It is a wireless connection that does not require a base station such as a router next time dont be such an *****

1. find ip of computer. type in ipconfig in command prompt of the pc you are going to use. note ip down. 2. start the pc application of joypad. 3. start the application on the psp. 4 select connection 1 5. change the ip address to your address in step 1. 6. press start 7. now it should be connecting. 8. if you have problems connecting try turning off your wep key. turned mine off and it connected. might help some people.
