It's always better not to look like a tourist to avoid being taken advantage of. But toting a large map wherever you go will not fool anyone. With maps retrieved from Google Maps and then viewed on your Sony PSP, homebrew developer Royale's PSP-Maps has definitely helped a few travelers along the way. Already equipped with Windows support thanks to the previous build, today's PSP-Maps version 0.8 adds compatibility for the popular app, Danzeff keyboard, among others.

Here's the complete changelog from Royale:
  •  better performance with big cache
  •  added Danzeff keyboard support
  •  fixed cache neighborhood option for hybrid maps
  •  moved images, font and user files to the data/ subfolder
  •  improved memory usage
Although the addition of a keyboard feature is enough reason to celebrate, you should not overlook the different improvements made to enhance the homebrew app's performance. Bigger cache, improved memory. What's not there to love? That's more maps, more travel destinations!

But before you hit the road, be sure to check the readme to avoid any slip-ups.

» awsome app

hey guys

i love this app but the thing in brisbane, queens land, Australia (where i live) doesnt have too many hotspots or i havnt found any. so if any1 cud do me a favour and cache a map of brisbane and upload the cache folder onto rapidshare or sum server like that it wud be greatly appreciated. i tried doing it myself on the computer AND the psp but both attempts failed. if anyone just appears to have the cached map or some proper instructions that wud be really awesome.

thanks guys

» awsome app

Hi

I made a small cache of the town you live in (not that I don't have a life, but my girlfriend is reading the last potter book and I'm bored sooo much.)

I am very impressed by this app.I don't get the cache neighborhood option as it does'nt seem to load anything else then the current active view even on the highest mem/cache settings.

It would be great if the next pc version had an option to scan completly a selected area/sqare etc

anyways here's the link.
