PSP-Maps v0.5 - support for Yahoo! Maps, Virtual Earth added |
Ó
Homebrew developer Royale just released a new build for the PSP-Maps application, bumping it up to version 0.5. This program, is actually a map reader for the Sony handheld that was patterned after Google Maps.Despite that similarity, this homebrew release does not use the API from Google Maps. Aside from the obvious simpler user-interface, Royale also mentioned that his program retrieves the images directly.
Here are the changes for this specific build:
- Added Virtual Earth and Yahoo! Maps support (thanks to boomerang for the idea)
- Address search menu
- Customizable cache size
- Added an option to load neighborhood to cache
- Switched to TTF font
- Fixed a bug with favorites
- New buttons mapping

this has the potential to be big when it's more polished. keep up the work :D
as of 0.4, this has become a permanent resident on my memory card
I was just commenting yesterday about how good i thought this was. And, today you release this. I immediately tried it out and am thoroughly impressed! I like the addition of the new map modes and you honored our request for a smoother working interface. The address entry is simply golden. I was able to find my home address instantly. Thanks again! I greatly look forward to the updates and yes this is a permanent resident on my ms.
Fine work on a great application of homebrew. Excellent!
i love this app. he should make this app like the nokia maps with downloadable maps ie: map of California and navigation. i can see the future of this app and keep up the good work :D
