PSP Lua Software Studio - Image 1After engaging in some friendly competition with Re_AnimAte, which was about who would create the better PSP Game Maker, PSP homebrew developer -Maniac- is back with another creation - the PSP Lua Software Studio. Its features include:

  • Syntax highlighting
  • Multi file support
  • Debug WITHOUT command prompt (debugger built in, no command prompt needed )
  • Auto compile with eboot.pbp and make a zip out of it
  • Quick scratch notepad
  • Visual designer (for placing images and text)
  • Pre-made script support (if you use some specific script often, save it as a text document in the Scripts directory and it you can use it by just dragging and dropping next time)
  • Much more, just give it a try
He also noted that the script used in the screenshot to your right isn't created by him, but it is merely an example of a LUA file. So if the author of the script would like -Maniac- to remove it from the screenshot, just tell him and also inform us through the comments section. No readme file is included in the download, but before using this, please extract files before running the program.

» hooray for competition!

this is really cool - another lua game building app. Now i just need some free time to actually *learn* lua (i can't imagine it'll be that hard as i write in perl most every day for my job - just need the free time to sit down and read some docs).

» not working

Somehow I can't get this to work. I extracted and started it; and it asks me for a work folder. When I type in c:\ or d:\ or d:\pspstuff, it says it's all invalid folders. Do you put this between quotes or something?

by re_animate - 2007-04-02 22:06
» do this

make a folder in c drive called pspstuff then type

c:\pspstuf and press apply

by maniac - 2007-04-04 11:18
» -

It gets creates a list of all the files in the folder you specified. Many files in your C\D drive are locked by the OS (like the SYSTEM_VOLUME_I NFORMATION Folder)

Just choose a path with only lua files
