Gen sucks.
Work on DSonPSP instead of this garbage
I don't think people realize what he's just released.
Care to enlighten us, good sir?
.
*says nothing, continues messing with the 4.05testtool fw*
yea, i'm not quite sure what this is all about either.
also, FreePlay, could i make a pandora battery with a slim battery? i've been out of the loop in that department for a while, so i'm not 100% sure. but i thought i saw somewhere that it can't be done.
I wish I could see an actual tt fw sadly its for fat psps only. ;.;
Ok i have a psp slim that can't be hacked, with this program will it hack it...?.
He gave a clue on why its important.
You can. Just don't use it with a fat PSP; they can be ... finicky.
Basically, I'm excited about this program because it installs *ANY* update, including those only available on UMDs and test/debugger firmwares. I'd been working on an installer for those but it was a pain in the ass.

oops. replied to the wrong post.
...so what can be done with those firmwares? probably more interesting for devs i guess. thanks, for the battery info too.
Hurry up and work on DSonPSP.
Gens a garbage firmware. m33 rocks and until gen can rival m33 then it shouldnt matter
Always somebody asks these sort of questions.
I read the dam "info" wrong.People make mistakes so chill the hell out, acting like you know so much...pssh.
Newer slim batteries have pandora patched. So take that into consideration.
wont it be possible to dual install cfw like with time machine.... but for gen and m33 all one would need is the files right?
No, they should work on 5.55 or 6.0. I read somewhere that it's been "decrypted and analyzed". Well ?? ... :|
can this hack my psp 3000 5.50?
But what is a TT fw?
Sorry, you cant. You cant downgrade or anything.
Something big is going to happen I can feel it, We just have to wait. I think we will all be enjoying GT on our Modded PSP's very soon.
you can decrypt the firmware on your computer really easilly but to get it to work on the psp is a whole different ball game
first you need to extract some files from the update.pbp
then extract some files from the data.psar you get from that
and from inside some of those files you can get the keys for it to work on psar dumper
but then you need to extract the ipl which can only be done (to my knoledge) through a modified magic memory stick then you have to alter the ipl somehow to let you use unsigned code then add it into a new update.pbp and you are done
the problem is its an awfull lot of work over 100 keys
and i have missed out a few crutial steps you can read more at lan.st
see making a cfw is harder than you might think
and is very time consuming.
oh and i forgot to mention to need to use a hex editer to get the keys and try to find the keys hidden in with a couple hundred other codes so its not something me or the average usser can do very easily so cut them some slack why dont ya
What? No Way! You mean there is work behind this? I thought I just had to put everything into a blender and pour it over a SD Card, or find some lamp and rub it a lot. Isn't that why they called it the Magic Stick?
That's a real big bummer to everyone who just grabs and installs these complicated programs, thinking the source code just fell out of the sky someday. Hope they will start giving more credit to the work done on CFW's, rather than being like: "OMG LAME! Make me Pong instead."
What's so special about this? Isn't it very similar to DC8?
now wait a sec
am reading this right?
it can install 5.50 gen on any psp without any patch
so does this bring us 3000 and ta-88v3 users one sep closer to finally being able to upgrade to 5.50?
u sir cant read
"on any PSP so PSP fat and PSP slim TA-79 > TA-88V2 "
great job being a dik
it was only a question man
lets look a few posts up.
gogeta85 - hmmm....
Ok i have a psp slim that can't be hacked, with this program will it hack it...?.
answer was no.
sandzz2 - SRY IF ITS A STUPID QUESTION
can this hack my psp 3000 5.50?
answer - again no
see a pattern
nope because my question pertained to a completely different situation. i want asking if 5.50 psp 3000's could now be downgraded, i was asking if already hacked psp 3000's and 2000 w/ TA88v3 could now upgrade.
some of us are getting sick of being stuck at 5.03
