PSP homebrew: Ultimate PSPtube v1.8 lubed with more sites, more fixes |

Getting lubed up for a fine tune-up, Ultimate PSPTube is back with another update! JK108 has released Ultimate PSPTube v1.8, adding support for three more video streaming websites and fixing a whole host of other features. The current total number of sites supported with this version amounts to a whopping number of 33!
Ultimate PSPTube v1.8 changelog:
- Spike is now included
- Revision3 is now included
- TheTend is now included
- Added special searches for MetaCafe
- Made small improvements to the description filter
- Fixed a bug in StageVu where the thumbnails weren't showing as the site changed
- Fixed a bug in CrunchyRoll that caused it to reach the end of results on the first page
- MuchoSucko script is fixed after the videos stopped working
- Google Video script is fixed after the videos stopped working
- MegaVideo and MegaPorn thumbnails now don't show to stop the search from being slow

Now,with all these sites,the soft needs a major change of interface...For example-a list with all the sites to choose from after the program starts.It's quite annoying to miss your site while pressing Select,and to have to go all over the list again...
this homebrew never works for me.
Unfortunately I can't do that otherwise I would have done it already. Since I don't have the source code all I can do is make the scripts for the sites.

i love this program, and keep all sorts of anime and final fantasy and megaman vids with it. porn is nice, but somewhat useless on a psp...

I second this request!, it was taken off for some reason. But adding this site will probably need Japanese input so I guess you'll need to change your psp's language to Japanese

Isn't nicovideo support built it without the use of .js? How/why did you remove it(or if we fill in the lines in the config, does it show up?)
does not work on 5.00 m33-6 it boots and acts as if it works but does not prompt the connection screen
So hasn't the original Dev of PSPTube disclosed the SourceCode? Maybe he's willing to share the Code now, what with not coming up with any updates for a loong time? And if not, how about a complete Code-rewrite for a new PSPTube? Coz I think we all agree, that there are a few flaws to be ironed out in the long run...
... it's because this homebrew needs to go in the GAME5XX folder not GAME (I don't know why though). Once connected, press SELECT to choose a site from those available eg YOUTUBE and then press "O" to open a text entry screen which will be used for searching (I had a problem working out how to do this when I first used it).

ok i need some help i copied the folder over to the GAME directory and i see it under the menu on the psp and when you select it on the psp it plays music but when i try to run it is says something like corrupted data. i also tried the PSP Dictionary and it did the same thing.

Is it so hard to make a new psptube?
I have tried contacting SofiyaCat for the source code but I didn't receive a reply. I have actually started making my own version from scratch and it can get the search results etc. but I am having trouble cross compiling ffmpeg so I can make it stream videos.

sorry but you are both wrong. It doesnt show up with a connection screen because your WLAN switch is down. switch it up and it will work fine.
Sorry in advance if i'm posting this in the wrong area or if you've already brought this up somewhere and I missed it I'm new to all this. Anyhow when i watch videos on Megavideo the color is all distorted and there are streaks of color running along the screen (not sure if that made any sense). Its kind of like having a TV on an antenna and getting bad reception. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*Found a bug - Doesn't seem to work with categories plugin shows as corrupted data, works if you leave it out of a category though. Hopefully a fix could be possibly made?
Many people are posting they are having corrupt icons: "Something to keep in mind are length limits. Category names have a limit of 18 characters (excluding the CAT_ prefix), and the full path to the file can't exceed a certainth number of characters due to Sony limits. If corrupt icons start to show up, you might want to try renaming the filenames to shorter names." I just made its name shorter and it hasn't showed corrupted again.
I guess when you said both you added yourself to the list. Putting it in the 5xx folder only allows it to use the 5xx kernel. But if you just make sure your on Kernel 5 to begin with (fat users) and not on 1.50 then your fine. But I have 5.00 m33-6 and I have friends whose I have also hacked. I get asked these questions with every homebrew they try... Well not so much now since 1.50 isn't used much anymore.
