PSP homebrew - PSP Installer v0.7 beta |
Homebrew coder spike_132000 has released a new update for PSP Installer, a handy homebrew application that allows you to download and automatically install homebrew Applications, Games and CTF Themes directly to your PSP.
Developer's note:
Basically, this application will allow you to download and automatically install Applications, Games and CTF Theme's to your PSP!!!
Instructions are simple
Run the Game (New Images for Eboot to follow shortly) When the application starts, you can press (X) straight away to download the latest database file. use the L trigger and R trigger to navigate between the tabs.
TOP ONE - Settings
SEC ONE - Files
THI ONE - Search *COMING SOON*
FOU ONE - Exit *NOT DONE YET*
in the files tab you can navigate using the UP,DOWN,LEFT and RIGHT keys, use LEFT to go to previous Page, use Right to go to Next Page and up and down to browse the files on each page.
Press (X) to start the download and install.
We are looking for more files to put onto the database, so If you have a game or app you want putting on there, just drop us a reply on here with a Download link and I will put it on
NOTE: This will only work for placing files in the PSP Folder, plugins will not be accepted at the moment, so anything that can go in GAME/ GAME150/ GAMEXXX/ THEME can be put on the database.
Changelogs:
Version 0.7 beta:
- removed the blue square found in the images folder.. dunno why it's there.
- changed the eboot so it doesn't show Phoenix Game Engine Lua anymore.
- attempted to add delete of zip after install but it doesn't seem to work? I am looking into it.
- attempted to prevent selection of non-existent apps, but when choosing an existing app it seemed to crash, am also looking into it.
- changed the app download and db download screens to it more user friendly then just a black background with white text, there are no progress bars at the current moment as I do not yet know how to implement them, but im working on it
- changed the pictures so they don't have the text on them, the text is now written from the app it self
- added the exit function so you can actually exit now
- added new database version scheme using dates in reverse order
- added function on database update that tells you whether the database has actually been updated, or you've downloaded the database file you already have

sounds like homebrew browser for the wii. gotta try this later.
I would definitly love to see this develop further. As of now, i have no use for it (lack of internet at home) but once this gets further along i would add it to my most used one. This will greatly benefit me when i have to search on the run.
Well this is rubbish. There are 3 items to download? No thanks. There's so much homebrew out there too... Good idea (like what the iPhone has) but poor execution so far.
oh, it's a beta! well in that case just flood this with apps and games.
