PSP-CheatUp - Image 1

Homebrew coder raing3 has dropped by our forums to release a new version of PSP CheatUp, handy homebrew app designed to simplify the task of updating the cheat codes through the use of the PSP's Wifi and a wireless internet connection.

The latest update now supports
DarkCheat, DayPR, FreeCheat, IcyPR, starPR and HackME. It also includes lots of bug fixes.

Changelog:
Version 0.26:
  • Added: Support for starPR and HackME.
  • Added: Detection of bluePR.
  • Fixed: Download errors which happened after a failed download attempt.
  • Fixed: If no cheat engine was active no item would be selected by default in the cheat engine select lateral menu.
  • Other: Increased message buffer sizes to 16KB so I can show you longer update messages and notices.
Version 0.25:
  • Added: Support for DarkCheat, DayPR, FreeCheat and IcyPR (note most/all other nitePR clones including MKULTRA should use the nitePR option).
  • Fixed: The CWCheat POPs database is no longer erased as there is currently no POPs database included in the download.
  • Fixed: Improved the error handling of the Wifi download code.
  • Other: Removed random background colours so the lateral menu colour matches the background colour.

» cool

cool app but i can never get any of these cheat things to work

I hate "cheat" cheats like infinite health etc

but i love cheats like playing as unplayable characters on games, like playing as chaos on FFdissidia for example :)

What happens. Does the program crash when loading?

If so...

Could you please try resetting your system settings, deactivating your GAME plugins and give it another go. Someone also reported success with changing the game kernel to 1.50 (I don't know why that is but I guess it is worth a try).

If it still does not work could you please send me an email at raing3[@at@]gmail[.dot.]com with the registry files from flash1:/ and specify your PSP Model (eg. PSP-2002) and any other information you feel is relevant.

[note: Do not enter any personal details such as passwords before sending me your registry files as they are not encrypted and I will be able to see those details]

So far the progam has been tested and working on my PSP-1002 with 5.00 M33-6, PSP-2002 with 5.50 GEN-B2 and PSP-3002 with ChickHEN R2.

» Awesome

Thanks a lot for doing this; it's extremely handy and works great on my PSP.

Glad to see that the POPs database isn't erased anymore. I lost mine like that but good thing I had a backup. :)

Keep up the good work!

Could you please try the version uploaded at > http://www.mediafire.com/?ymz2wio3dgz. This has a number of things disabled and is NOT capable of downloading updates or cheats. If it runs without crashing could you please, please, please tell me. I've been trying to figure out what the problem is for the last week but haven't found anyone willing to give me any information about their PSP or reply back.

If it still doesn't work could you please add raing3[@at@]gmail[.dot.]com on MSN IM so I can try and discuss it with you further...

The above message also applies to anyone else who is having loading issues please, please help me find the problem.

As I have said I have tested on a PSP-1000 with 5.00 M33-6, PSP-2000 with 5.50 GEN-B2 and PSP-3000 with ChickHEN R2 and CANNOT replicate the crashes people are having.

» Interesting...

DOes this updates CWCheats, as its the only Cheat Device I use for My PSP... I mean can this really update CWCheat with Cheat Codes from new games (GTP, Naruto Shippuden Legends, etc)

Like, if they haven't update their DBm would this would download a native/std cheat.txt to use, until they Update their DB, they haven't tough....

Thanks :)

» not my fault problem anymore

Doesn't work on 5.50 GEN-B because of the problem with homebrew incompatibility so update to 5.50 GEN-B2. If it still doesn't work for you I am *****ing angry because it means there is still a problem somewhere.

Doesn't work. The mediafire doesn't work either; does the same thing (black screen). Weird thing is even tho it crashes, it doesn't fully shutdown the PSP. It turns on like its coming out of sleep mode (no coldboot intro).
