This Webrowser... IS AWESOME.
It's so much faster.
once this browser is out of beta, it would gr8 to have a flasher that will replace the default browswer with this one
Very good. As of yet I can't think of any reason to continue using the standard browser. This one is so much faster.
1) Add custom soundtrack support
2) REMOVE the audio/theme you just added from the eboot, they are a waste of space, annoying, and slow the system down when we're scrolling
As for Nathan Drake, just use a plugin to redirect the web browser icon to this homebrew
Oh god that crap you call music sucked arse. One second of that crap and I downloaded an eboot editor to strip it from the eboot. I also removed the big PNG file, bringing the eboot down to 120 KB!!!
And get rid of that message box popping up to tell us which PSP we're using. We know what PSP we're using.
will this make you able to web browse facebook and myspace?
Opera's pretty fast, and it loads nearly everything.
Well with everyone saying how much faster this web browser is compared to default, I tested it out on the QJ homepage.
Default Netfront Browser - 1:59
This Netfront Browser- 1:13
Opera Browser- 0:12
Clearly you can see that Opera is approx. 1 min faster then this netfront browser, but then again when I tested it the default browser was clocked at 222, and Opera was at 333, so I don't know if this hacked netfront browser is clocked at 222 or 333. Also different ads may have loaded for each visit, that's just a rough estimation.
I guess the last thing is if you care about the PSP's flash player. Then again, with IRShell 5.0 out, you can just stream Opera and Youtube at the same time. (Keep in mind IrShell cannot multitask 2 programs that use the wifi, so you can only play videos on youtube that you have downloaded, but that still beats PSP's built in flash player.)
there's an Opera Browser for psp?
IrShell can play .flv files? wouldnt play for me.
To use Opera you have to use the Java emulator:
http://www.pspkvm.com/
I really don't like the look of the java browser...it just seems so messy.
Again, since this is still on its beta phase, the developers advice all users to track down some bugs if they happen. If you spot any, make sure to report it to them via the forums. That way, development for this homebrew can speed up a bit.
Well if you say so, but I am not sure most people would agree...I mean if you really think about it.

I'm getting so excited about the PSP scene again!!
will this finally play utube vids? i was thinking maybe use the memory stick memory instead of the RAM? im no programmer so i dont know..
is awesome. i hate the keypad. arrrg!
So open the config file and switch to the sony OSK.
Reading from RAM is much faster than memorystick, like rediculously faster.
RAM = Chuck Norris, MemStick = Rosie O Donald
Chuck Norris is the only person to ever complete a lap around Rosie O Donalds waist line. So... yeh..
@ xCHRISx
nice comparison, but what did that have to do with anything i said?
@TheLastGuitarH ero
i did it, but it freezes up sometimes.
for everyone wondering about if this lets you play youtube vids and the like, sorry but no. What it does do is to let your psp use extra ram space for more memory in browser. This will allow you to view bigger websites pages and it will load all pages faster. As for bugs, the only one I have noticed is that the pointer(mouse thing) lags while the pages load, which is probably because all of the ram is going toward memory and not quite enough going toward making the browser run.(my guess) I, like many others, would love to see a future release come pre-packaged to replace the original Netfront browser (once the majority of any found bugs are worked out) And I dont mind the music, it could be alot worse (think Celine Dion)
