PSP Homebrew: Lightmp3 V2.0.0 Alpha 4 - Image 1

Homebrew developer sakya has the fourth Alpha of LighMP3 version 2.0.0. According to sakya's post on our PSP Development forum, this version ups the playlist limit to 3000 tracks. Great for those long trips.

Most of the crashes caused by ID3v2 tag reading have also been fixed. .PNG files are also now usable as coverart. For a look at this version's new features, check out the changelog included in the download or, heck, just read the one below:
  • Playlist limit raised to 3000 tracks
  • Added support for remote control (untested, my remote is broken)
  • Fixed many crashes caused by ID3v2 tag reading (mostly cover art)
  • Added support for png file for ID3v2's coverart
  • In the Media Library you can now enter a selection, play it or add it to the current playlist (please refer to the README for controls)
  • Fixed Shuffle
  • Added Shuffle/Repeat play mode
  • Faster opening of MP3 file.
  • Track's duration is now calculated without reading the whole file, but can be less accurate.
Now, if you're wondering about the sudden jump from Alpha 2 to Alpha 4, sakya mentioned that Alpha 3 was released only to a few testers in order to solve a couple of issues. That means you're not really missing anything by installing this version, which by the way you should do only after reading the included readme file.
