Ó

We know some of you have been finding JoySens pretty useful. It's one of those apps that have a long-standing history in the PSP homebrew scene (just check out all of the related articles below!). What with the ability to tweak the sensitivity of your PSP's analog stick to your personal liking, it's a custom firmware plugin that many believe is a must-have.
Homebrew developer Raphael is back with a new update for JoySens. While v1.3 was released back in October, we now find ourselves almost a year later, with JoySens v1.4. (Glad to hear from you again, Raphael!) Here's the changelog for the latest version:
- Added support for configs for different modes (VSH/POPS) and game/eboot paths
- Added analog<->Buttons mapping modes
- Fixed primary button mapping
- Fixed HOLD button preventing analog input
- Fixed to keep PSP from suspending/shutting down LCD if analog was pressed
- Fixed font output shadow making it better readable on light background
- Improved auto-center function a bit
- checked compatibility with CFW up to 4.01-M33-2
- Made installation easier
Yes, it's now easier to install for all those that couldn't get around those .txt files and allows you to specify settings for each of your games/UMDs individually. Play your favourite racing games with high smoothing, while the shooters have low smooth and higher sensitivity.
If you have problems making JoySens run on your latest firmware, try formating your flash1 from recovery menu and resetting the PSP.
The download archive includes a readme and FAQ, so be sure to go over the .txt files before anything.
Thanks for emailing us about your update, Raphael!
*Update* Raphael has released a quick bugfix with the following changes for v1.41:
- fixed crash when saving settings from game
- fixed JoySens not starting in homebrew
- made JoySens not boot in recovery

This fixes the only downfalls that joysens had... now I can use the joystick in the XMB without it affecting the joystick behavior in game! ^^

-Thanks Raph for a great plugin, I don't know what a lot of us would do without it. -
I think the only other homebrew that's even compared in usefullness was IRShell and its not being developed anymore. I hope someone else will eventually pick it up and make some updates...
