PSP homebrew - iR Shell v4.91 update for frame rate and sound on TV mode |
Ó
Just when you thought that Sunday news has gotten slow and everything's gone Super Bowl. Now for some real news. Well, just a minor update for AhMan's iR Shell, and this one's for Slim owners only. Phat users don't need to install this update, since it's only for the Slim's TV out capabilities.
You'll need to merge this update with the current v4.9. If you still don't have v4.9, then download it here on QJ through the related article link below.
iR Shell v4.91 Changes:
- For interlaced TV, some games have low frame rate. This is now fixed.
- For interlaced TV, some games have stuttered sound output. Most of them should now be fixed. If you still encounter stuttered sound for a specific game, you can try to increase the value of “Interlace TV Thread Priority” in iR Configurator. The higher the value, the lower the priority the thread will run and it will give more CPU time to the game which will help with the stuttered sound. You shouldn’t lower this value, unless you know exactly what you’re doing. The default value is 0 (same as setting the value to 21) which will work for most games.

lol another update thanks ahman for updating the irshell often, recently questoin for v4.9 do i have to just apply the patch?? (i have v4.8) or do i have to replace the whole irshell folder cause i have some extapp plugins and configuration... anyways thanks ahman! and qj,net
..then you must install v4.9 first if you want to go for this update
whats the point of having ir shell for the slim. is there a way to use ir remote for it??
IRShell does other stuff, too. Slim users like myself enjoy features like the multitasking with music, the file browser, and the convenience of installing only this program and getting all the others that make it run.
yea m also a slim user...and i love irshell beside i don't think there is a way to use the ir remote on slim unless you do it by hardware.
yes i know that... but do i have to replace my whole irshell folder?
ever since I updated my IRShell to this version, I've been having a problem with my configurator... when I'm changing options, it always causes my PSP to freeze and crash when I get to a certain line. Is this a bug? Is this happening to anyone else?
