Homebrew coder clizana has dropped by our forums to release Goear PSP, a homebrew application capable of searching and downloading songs directly from music site goear.com to your memory stick.

Developer's note:

Goear PSP is a homebrew created to search and download songs to the memory stick from the music site goear.com (also called the youtube of mp3's). It's in English, Spanish and a third language fully customizable (in the webpage you can see the template in "idiomas").

The homebrew comes with a third language, that is an example. Also in the link above can be downloaded the template to create other languages. If you don't want a third language just delete it from the GoearPSP folder (the language file is language.lng).

Controls:
  • Triangle: Change Language
  • Circle: Enter the text for a new search
  • Square: Fast download*
  • Cross: Download* and select the filename
  • L1: Prev. Result page
  • R1: Next Result page

Those MP3s better not be in crappy 128kbps.

The only problem i see with it is that it downloads extremely slow...It took 17 minutes for a 1.8MB song to download....

This is a brilliant homebrew right up there with PSP Tube. Couple of little comments, it would be nice if it could stream the songs (like the website) rather than having to download them. And there is no indication when there is more than one page of results. Thank you Clizana.

no no no! better idea: use mp3realm.org in the netfront browser and download 4MB in less than 2 minutes, while listening to one in IrShell.

Awesome, I'm gonna try it out later, but someone should do an app to make the page "beemp3" to work in PSP. Music downloads extremly fast from that page (from PC). I am saying that cause it doesn't work in the standard PSP internet browser

First, imeem is the YouTube of music. try finding a way to stream/download songs from there on psp. otherwise this app is useless because most of my songs have been downloaded from my PSP on mp3 sites a hell of a lot quicker than on this buggy app for a site that sucks at providing music.

Beemp3 is just an MP3 search engine, and so is Goear.com. Goear.com just lets you stream the music via a Flash applet.

So when you search a song on Beemp3 and click download, you aren't downloading it from their site. Duh.

I dont think me internet speed is the problem...On my PC it takes 1-1.5 minutes to download 4Mb songs...Depending on the source it could be little longer, and i can even download a YouTube video from PSPTube in under 5 mins...My friends house has 20MBPS internet connection and his PSP took just as long to download with this app...

Feeling entitled much? How about just saying thanks instead of demanding top quality from free homebrew?

I've been thinking about buying an iPod Touch for so long now, but this just puts a cherry on top, and this app might get better.

It took you 17 minutes to download a song? a 4MB song takes about a minute and a half.
