No, he's not actively coding for the PSP again, but homebrew developer Art has popped in at the QJ.NET PSP Development forum to release the first version of Fractal Universe, a Mandelbrot set fractal explorer for the PSP. Here's an overview from Art:

This is a relatively fast Mandelbrot set fractal explorer. You can move left, right, up, down, and zoom in & out of the image you see at any time. The fractal universe is limitless, and you can zoom in as many times as you like without losing any detail. You can also save an image to Memory Stick.

Art notes that by "relatively fast" he means that this app's algorithm is faster than some other algorithms out there. He points out though that it still takes some seconds to render a frame, but you can pretty much keep zooming in forever and not lose any detail.
