PSP - Image 1This one's from alex_e from our PSP forums. As the title suggests, it's a program to dump the flash contents of your PSP, which is very useful for examining files.

All you have to do is to copy the Flash Dumper program into the PSP/Game folder and run it once the HEN has been enabled. alex_e notes that if this is reported to work on the PSP-3000 models and TA-88v3s, then he'll make a program like this, but of course with more features.

Check it out and join the discussion at our forums!

confirmed

This DOES work 100% on the the psp 3000 (tested on 5.03ChickHEN TA-090v2 mobo) :) this is a pretty cool app, and like it says in the article, this is very useful for examining files. Correct me if im wrong, but if this app can "access" the psp 3K's flash does that not mean someone could somehow use it to write files to the flash of the psp 3000's? (ex. M33 files, flash0 themes, etc.)

...

wouldn't it be safer to just flash test files? like a 1kb file that just says "test" over and over again or some *****? If not, ignore my post :-)!

1. FileAssistant can copy files... 2. nandTool can dump a NAND image... ... why did he write this?

Re:ihool

No if you try to flash CFW to a 3K while running 5.03ChickHENR2 even if the install was successful it would end up bricking due to the PSP not recognizing the Pre-IPL of the CFW.
