Homebrew coders Xenogears and Becus25 have released a bug fix update for Custom Firmware Enabler, a program that activates the functions of the M33 custom firmware using ChickHEN.

The new update has fixed a bug that prevented other plugins to be enabled. As usual, please read the README provided in the download for more info about the release. Sorry, still no PSP 3000 support for this release.

Everyone here wants to be a pirate, otherwise you would not even be on this site. You would just buy umd's and ps store games and be totally happy with your psp as is. Everyone here wants more from their psp...stuff that Sony does not provide or allow.

This falls into false advertising, this does not enable the use of custom firmware, change the *****ing name of it already.

It should be called Firmware Extension, or something like that. It only expands what you can use with HEN enabled PSP official firmware.

be happy you can play homebrew games and emulators. these are useful updates and i doubt that 3000 support will be possible anytime soon. honestly i'm not seeing it happening, and if it does, certainly not anytime soon, my friend. i think plugin support would be nice, i can't wait to see what the new chickhen will offer, but i'm not expecting that anytime soon either. it's hard work. just be happy progress is being made instead of complaining you can't play all those games you download. i have all the psp models, and i use the 1000 for pikey and the remote for fun, and 2000 for full screen tv out, which is a big reason i'm looking forward for this offering 3000 support. big deal. you have to buy your games. get over it. sorry you can't get your music, movies, and your video games for free.

hahaha are you serious? what do you mean it doesn't enable the use of custom firmware? it allows the use of plugins, the vsh menu, recovery menu, pops, and isos. it doesn't write custom firmware onto your flash, because that would brick newer psp's, but it does boot custom firmware. just because you just installed the hen and looked up what custom firmware is on wikipedia doesn't make you an expert.

Not everybody here is a pirate, but you're correct about everyone wanting more. People should be thankful that there is a HEN for their previously unhackable PSPs, but yet they still cry over an iso loader and such.

Have no *****ing clue do you...

It is an official firmware extension app...

It doesn't boot custom firmware it only gives you it's various abilities, thus EXTENSION.

It can't be called Custom Firmware until it becomes the full "flash to" kind.

BTW, I have a PSP-1000 that I bought on launch day, you want it?

It is gathering dust in my closet...
