TDP - Image 1The TodoPSP team's back with 5.03 of TDP-3, with a package that comes with the tdpDevkit PC tool, which is useful for those apps that work on 5.00 m33 but not 5.03 TDP. The tool modifies the files and lets you run the apps on 5.03 TDP, so you still get the best of both worlds, so to speak.

If you already have TDP-1 or TDP-2, just run the updater. But if you still need to upgrade your firmware to 5.03, you gotta download the official Sony eboot 5.03 first, rename it as 503.PBP, put it in PSPGAMEUPDATE, and only then you should run the updater.

Features:
  • The full updater can do now, also, the low updater function.
  • TDP 'Recovery' is installed in seplugins. You can launch it, using M33's vsh menu.
  • You can launch 5.00 M33 apps such as Irshell (apps that don't work over 5.03 TDP) patching this apps previously with tdpDevkit.exe
Everything else that you might need to know is in the readme, so be sure to check it out first before trying anything. It's called readme for a reason.

I am going to hold off untill I hear some good comments. I trust only Dark Alex for firmware.

# Everything GEN can do, pugins can do betterlarz258 2009-04-09 09:24
It's got about 3 main things that DAX doesn't have.

1. The catagories plugin, to start off the version he embeded doesn't work on 5.00+ so this is BS.

2. The mac adress hider, this is cool except, for some reason the option to hide it keeps getting turned off, I know happens when you go online, but I'm not talking about that. So ultimate VSH is better.

3. The battery converter, I don't know what GEN is going for with this, but other then freezing my PSP it does nothing, to either of my batteries (pan. and normal).

It does have recovery menu access from the VSH, which is prett cool, but I prefer recovery.prx (someone needs to update that), since it allows for anywhere access.

After about two weeks, with GEN, I had to break out my pandora and the universal unbricker, to instal M33 again.

Also does TDP have any new features? Other then making some homebrew not work? Being 5.03, doesn't count, because we have been able to get onto the PSN since 5.00 M33-3, and I there haven't been to many new game releases.

Also Haxor it says that this version has a full upater and a smaller update, if that's anything like GEN, then one of the two has ISO support.

# Worse then GENlarz258 2009-04-10 06:38
I have tried this (to be fair since I still have a pandora), and I have to say it's worse then GEN, all it does is adds a plugin to your SEplugins, a recovery menu plugin. When it does this it backups your SEplugins (seplugins_back up), making you have to move a whole of files around (using a filer, or computer), to get your plugins working again. The features on this new recovery menu, are almost the exact same as GEN's, only it's not written into the FW. This doesn't deserve a FW release, it would do just as good as a plugin (well there is Ultimate VSH, so it would be useless, but it would work), actually better, because it wouldn't screw up homebrew compatability.

Whatever happened to Wildcard? I liked their GUI for a while.
