Ó
Over at the QJ Forum, Slasher started the thread "Poll for Requested Homebrew" to determine which homebrew application or games he should work on. The GBA emulator emerged as the most requested app (why am I not surprised?). As a result, Slasher released PSP GBA v1.2, the most recent build of the GBA emulator for the PSP originally created by psp298 and Miemt11. (Thanks to rob for the heads up.)The new build features all the basics plus some enhancements.
- Slightly faster emulation
- Fixed up the menu a bit
- State saves/loads
- Vsync, Frame skip, sound on/off, screen size(smoothing)
- ZIP support

Just a suggestion, but maybe you should consider collaborating with ZX on this one. I would think that it would be far smoother of a development if there were two people working on it.
But still, please stick with it. We all appreciate your effort.
And indeed, it is a bit faster. Maybe only a frame or two faster per second, but it's great to see things progressing.

I say we let the developers do what they think is necessary to get the emulator to run full speed, then worry about compatibility with firmwares higher than 1.5.

It was about time to make a "What do you want?" poll.

Seriously. the topic is GBA not what you think of someones opinion of GBA. Lets stay on the topic.

With the default frameskip of 2 (probably the maximum you'd want for an emulator), the game played like it was running at 14.5fps.
This was all based off using a stopwatch and comparing it to the time in a given track.

Yea I have, pokemon ruby, sapphire and emerald. Emerald doesn't load at all (well it does but it stucks to the white screen, it does the same thing with all the GBA emus for PSP [side-note: this specific rom DOES however work when played on PC]). Ruby and Sapphire do load but they run slow as hell. There's not really any difference at all between all the GBa emus when it comes to these two games. Lookin forward to catch pkmons with ALMOSt full speed, if not FULL :)
