PSP-FTPD v0.4.0 - host an FTP server on your PSP |
Ó
Now how about that? An FTP server that fits into your back pocket. Homebrew developer Zx-81 tossed an update our way for PSP-FTPD that hikes up the compatibility bar for open firmwares in the 3.xx range (3.xx OEs). Like the past revisions of PSP-FTPD, version 0.4.0 will allow users to utilize their PlayStation Portable's WiFi access to transfer files from the PSP to another network node (e.g., TFTP server) and vice versa. For optimal results with PSP-FTPD, Zx-81 recommends FileZilla for Windows users and gFTP for Linux users. And since the release of version 0.3.7, Zx-81 has made the following improvements (taken from the readme file):
Version 0.4.0
- Compatible with fw3x-0E
- Add battery status
- Add memory stick free space status
- Display FTP commands received by clients

Theres not enough storage on the PSP for it to make
a good FTP server.
Maybe I'm missing something... but why would you
want to make your PSP an FTP server.
It's network speed is 802.11b which is not the fastest
and max storage on a PSP would probably be 8 to 16
gigabytes.
Whats the point of making a FTP server out of your PSP
and "not" (Just because I can)... I really want to know
why... no better yet give examples at to what you'd
use this app for and what you can now do with it that
you otherwise couldn't do before.
Thanks
well for one - wirelessly transferring files to and from your memory stick.
ie. i forgot my usb cable oh noez!! wait a minute, i run this program, log in using ftp, copy files over and done! yay no more usb cable needed. can manage memory stick through wifi ooOooO
iRShell and Nethostfs would be better for that task.
It's a great app, though. Keep it up!!
Thanks for flaming somebody that asks a question
you ass hole!
