Bring your RSS feeds with you wherever you go with homebrew developer The Underminer's PReSS version 0.3.

Improving on its previous build, PReSS now offers support for Sony PlayStation Portable Slim users. Not only that, you can download mp3 and mp4 files (Playback is available for mp3 files only).

Homebrew coder The Underminer is already planning speed-up revisions for version 1.0. But let's not get ahead of ourselves for that future build. Today's version 0.3 update features a boatload of fixes, improvements, and additions.

Here's the complete changelog from The Underminer:
  • Slim support
  • WPA and other encryption support
  • personal feed catalogue
  • mp3 download and playback
  • mp4 and AVC video download
  • atom/xml support added
  • more reliable: http 1.1 protocol for image download
  • ability to abort updating feeds
  • faster feed saving
  • remapped buttons (see read-me)
  • support for larger images
  • Real favicons instead of generic logo.
  • faster panning in image view
  • viewfinder in image view
  • show/hide topics window
  • Added to settings: Large thumbnail quality
  • 0 = display image as a link
  • 1-3 = image quality(only applicable for large images)
The Underminer warns us to "only use the home button when the select button is unresponsive." This is because the home button will exit PReSS without saving changes. For the complete instructions on how to install PReSS, visit the readme before anything else. Safety first!

I like google's interface a bit better than this one.

Who knows? It might come. But PReSS is nifty in its own right

» That's where you're wrong

» my bad

yes, you're right. Google Reader has been available for quite some time for the PSP

» Error in article

It says you can download and play both mp3 and mp4 video.

That's not completely correct. See the changelog.

Playback: mp3

Download:mp3,mp4

Files will be saved in PSP/VIDEO and PSP/MUSIC so after you downloaded video's you can play them from the XMB

Does the XMB play Video files saved in "ms0:/PSP/VIDEO/"?

I thought it could only do "ms0:/VIDEO/" and "ms0:/MP_ROOT"

by The Underminer - 2008-04-22 01:41
» indeed

Yes mr.x256, it is as you say. The files are saved in ms0:/VIDEO and ms0:/AUDIO

by The Underminer - 2008-04-22 03:34
» sry
