Portable Meditation Engine - 02/05 Update |

Psilocybeing from our forums has released yet another update to his popular Portable Meditation Engine homebrew application for the PSP. There have been no version numbers, but each release is dated - which seems like a better idea because it is being updated so quickly!
Portable Meditation engine plays sounds to influence your state of mind. The application is based on a program called Brain Wave Generator for the PC, and uses Binaural beats to influence your state of mind. This release (Updated 02/05) gets rid of some of the distortion issues users were experiencing with earlier versions of the application. There is still a little bit of distortion, but with some good headphones it should sound pretty clear.
After trying this application last night when I was going to sleep, I'm happy to say that it actually works. Although I generally don't believe that things like this work, using it helped me get to sleep, and I woke up feeling a lot better than I do most mornings. Maybe it was the program, maybe it was a coincidence, but I do suggest that even if you don't believe in this sort of stuff - give it a try!
Also, look forward to even more releases. The screenshot above is a draft for a new style currently being worked on by Psilocybeing - keep up the good work.

And yes, sleeping with an PSP isnt the easiest thing to do, never know where it is when waking up.

Anyway i'm tryin it now so thanks again for such a quick update.
Quick question, is there any way to add visuals to this? Something simple like windows media player? It would be sweet to something to space out into.

to 17, there probably is a way to put these into mp3 but the point of them is that they play for hours without stoping if you let them. This is to allow you to meditate or fall asleep without worrying about restarting them. So you could record these out but they would be massive files.

If you experience distortion with this version I'm sorry, the mixing that I thought was sorted is infact still not perfect. I'll continue to work on it to sort out the flaws.

Think I will need more time with this, hehe
And I agree with the post above, think the sleep mode (freedom flight or something) could be little bit longer.
