PMP Mod AVC

Raphael has released 2 new versions of his PMP Mod variant with subtitle support. These new versions are Jonny's latest PMP Mod v2.01 with subtitle support and PMP Mod AVC v1.02 with subtitle support. This is great for previous users of Raphael's PMP Mod subtitle versions as well as 2.0+ users, as PMP Mod v2.01 now works on firmwares 2.0-2.6 using either the TIFF exploit or the GTA eLoader. Although PMP Mod v2.01 with subtitle support has already been released, the addition of 2.0-2.6 support and many new fonts make it much better.

Here's what Raphael said: "Many many thanks to tommydanger for his big help with getting this to work with the tiff exploit, too. This wouldn't have been possible without him most likely. Along with this I also have a new set of fonts available for download, that cover the whole region of ISO8859 charsets. So if you do not find a matching font in the release or just donÂ’t know which one fits your needs, try with these fonts."

Raphael has also created a font generator tool for windows. To use, just start the tool, select a windows font with the correct charset, a filename and press "generate". All these files are available for download below. Happy full resolution media playing! For developers and coders alike, the source code for the specified version is included in the download. Full details on the fonts supported can be found in the forum release thread.

» But how do we encode a working x264 file

I tried with xvid4psp and the files it puts out say not a valid pmp stream in the player. if only there was a way to play a pmp file on windows so you can test it before transfering it to your psp. what is the best way to make an x264 file? preferably without me having to use a command line :( thanks.

#2: try AVI2PMP from here: http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=4967

There's also already a demuxer for 2.0 pmp files for windows, search somewhere in the last 4-8 pages of this thread: http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=4528

#3: read the miniFAQ in the PSPU thread http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?t=55730 or on my homepage http://wordpress.fx-world.org

» #2 here. Avi 2 PMP worked great

Thanks Raphael, your work is deeply appreciated. Avi 2 PMP worked great and AVC looks beautiful. Not able to locate the Demuxer to preview the video on Windows but I'll keep looking through the forum pages. When I hit preview in AVI 2 PMP it tried to play it in WMP 11 but I'm using Windows Vista Beta 2 and I suppose I may not have all of the codecs I need installed because it only played audio and no video. Keep up the good work!

» vob

wish there was a program that could directly create avc pmp from vob..

because you lose time and quality when you first create an avi file..

» TIFF Exploit People

I really suggest all of you TIFF exploit people (2.0 users) downgrade and just use DevHook. This way you get:

1) all homebrew

2) easier to start homebrew

3) all 2.0 features

4) all 2.5 features

You lose NOTHING and you get all that. Seriously, you guys really need to downgrade and use DevHook.
