PMF Player v0.02 Released

Ó

Eyesonme has released a new version of the PMF Player for PSP. PMF Player 0.02 mini version :) After warning from Scherian at pspvideo9, we?ve decided to stick to our guns on the legality issues and ?take no chances,? so we will not be hosting this file. Here?s a little quote for an explanation:

?There is only one PMF encoder in existence and that comes only with the Official PSP SDK, to which the developers are under a NDA about it. Even if the UMD Movie Creator and PSMF Generator applications were leaked from the SDK, they would still be illegal to possess. Finally, even the PMF player application is of dubious legality, it is not a traditional homebrew application but rather some sort of extremely stripped down copy of a game which is loaded using the Hookboot loader. Our best guess was that some game which features an intro movie was copied and gutted and someone managed to include just enough libraries and game files so that the intro movie would play.

Due to this, you'll have to find it on your own to give it a whirl.?

How to use:
? To play the video, just it and place it in the folder named "Movie"
? After played, press Home button to exit

v0.02
? Cleaned up the binary, deleted unnecessary files, integrated folders
? The total size is less than 2MB, very tiny one.
? Can play 3 PMFs continuously (0000.PMF, 0001.PMF, 0002.PMF)

now we just need to find out how to convert AVIs to PMF files. that would be sweet to be able to play videos in full resolution on the psp.
