We really can't understand Japanese but it's a good thing QJ.NET loyal reader and forum member a0dki11s had a correspondence with the owner of the application and got these details:
- You need a Developer ID, and put it on the psptube.cfg
- Download the PSPTube20070805.zip on the link provided
- If you are in CFW look in the zip for a folder named over 200
- Drag the "psptube" to the GAME folder in your CFW (BTW I'm currently on 3.51 M33)
- Open the psptube folder and edit the "psptube.cfg" file (using notepad)
- Look for the line dev_id = "" inside the parenthesis if you have a YouTube developer account, type the username there.
- Save it and start youtubing

HOW TO MAKE A DEVELOPERS ACCOUNT!
first, go here http://www.youtube.com/dev
-on the right side of the page click "Developer Profile"
-put your info
-your done! now go back to your Youtube account and click on your "Developer Profile" and you can see your Developer ID (right in top of "Purpose for Using APIs")
-the ID should look like a bunch of numbers and letter

The bad part is that some videos dont load at all but if they do load, its pretty cool, good quality and no lag.

for the devoloper id thingy just put personal when u sign up for one and for the id in the notepad put it on both... and wep doesnt work sooo dont use a wep yet lol
It's not going to have all the gfx of the youtube site, but, this works perfectly for what I need it to do and thats watch spiderman TAS..

ok i got my wep disabled but when i boot the psptube it tells me "There in no network setting. You have to set it" I had just re-setup my network connection in my psp's browser so it dont use the wep any more but it's still not working...ps i put my dev_id in the second line where it just had the "". the first line said something like dev_id = "ABCDEFJH" i just left that how it was....did i do that correctly?
that's because google owns youtube. Sometimes google videos are included in the search and those are the ones that don't play.
I got through the developer ID & network settings, but once I select a video, it gives a black screen saying "Buffering" and to "please wait". The audio & video percentages don't move up a whit, even for what's supposed to be short 30 second clips.
Idea: Anyone who got a video to run, please post the keywords in your search, and we'll all see if we can replicate the results on our own PSP's.

OK, I finally got one working. Search "neverhood psp" and play the video. It didn't work on the first two tries, but now it's playing. You'll know it's working if it doesn't display the URL of the video on the black screen.
Working!!! I tried a couple of Neverhood videos and it worked. It crashed after the second one (with the green network light flashing), but it works.

you need to use the 2.00 bove version. i had the same problem to when i used the 1,50 version

I suppose it works for some people, But it doesnt work for me, Ive done everything, I signed up for a dev id. I set the config file.
It finds my network conntection, does a thread search. loads a gray screen that says no video, and shuts down.. This little pointless app, isnt wroth the trouble..

when on custom firmware dont use the game150 because for somereason the connection is not detected there so put the app in the game folder and make sure if you have 2 or more connections the main one is 1st because thats the connection the app will use.

2.pour on psp n urself(dont worry,we all went thru this)
3.use lighter on psp n urself

well adding on to the fixing of things.. yea u gotta set up ur net before hand and depending on which cfw u have sayin 2.0 + u use that file, and atm im using 3.40 oe also as a reminder some videos might not work.. and the buffering thing too... but overall it works

i put the dev_id in the right spot and i have my homebrew set to 352kernel and wen i run it it shows my connect and i clicked x is that all i have to do or is there more to it
upgrade to sonys official 3.50 firmware. It can found at www.psp-hacks.com or in the download section here on this site. Next buy an unpatched version of lumines 1 game. I can't remember on how to tell if you have a patched version or not. So your best bet would be to go to your local game store and buy a used version of the game. Next download the 3.50 downgrader from this site. Make sure you read the read me. You could end up rendering your psp useless if you don't. You're also going to need to download the official 1.5 firmware from this site also. Next download team wild cards custom firmware or m33's custom firmware. I personally use M33's but whatever you choose is up to you. Again read the read me that it is included with the file, it will tell how to upgrade to the custom firmware. So basically follow directions and welcome to the homebrew community.

How did u manage to brick, with today's flashing apps it's about a 99.999999999999999 999% chance that everything will go fine.
so whenever i get to the screen where i choose my connection it freezes. how do i fix this?
Make sure you have the files in the "GAME150" folder and NOT in the "GAME3xx" or "GAME" folders.
Note: If you have set your 1.5 homebrew folder to something other than GAME150 use the folder you set.
Put it in the Game352 folder and it should work.
i got 3.51 (dont ask how i got to this FW) and i put the 200over in my game folder what do i change to the developer id and i also have a location free player so would it still work on my psp

The 1.50 one won't work you need 1.50 and the 200 over you need m33 firmware!
It takes a couple of tries to work until you don't see the url. I used it for 3 min and i know that!
WEP isn't a problem. You should get it to work. WPA however wont work

Will v3.51 work for this ?
1. I dragged the psptube file(200over) to Game 302, I'm on 3.02 CFW, BTW.
2. I retrieved an ID account and edited the psptube cfg.
3. I checked my network settings, and they work.
4. Finally, I switched my psp to 302 kernal mode. Now here's what confuses me.
When I boot psptube up from the xmb, it tells me the game cannot be started. So I tried the 1.5 psptube folder, and it worked, but when it loads, it freezes and says, "No Video." I even tried switching between both 1.5 and 3.02 kernal. I know there are a lot of people struggling with similar probs, if not the same, so if there's anyone who's worked around any or all of these problems, please fill me in and let me know! Thanks much!!!

Okay Let me just say that it took me a lil bit to get this goin, but wow......it was worth it. I at first thought it would stream very choppy, but it didnt. I streames E3 conferences flawlessly, with crisp visuals. Streamed naruto perfectly. This is seriously close to being perfect. Add gogle video support, a fast forward/rewind control, and this'll be perfect. anything more is above and beyond. If this is possible someone should be able to make a homebrew webbrowser then.

this is a pretty neat program ya its in beta and still needs a lot of work 99% of the movies i search for are all googlevideo and my psp has crashed several times from this program i like that your able to watch youtube though and the audio is never synced with the movie from all the movies ive seen dunno why this is wish you could also rewind back in the movies and wait for the movie to buffer 100% before playing

i'm having problems. everything works fine till i start searching for videos. whatever i search for, it tells me no videos and a few seconds later, the text entry thing pops up.

FYI i downloaded flvs, mpgs, wmv files on my computer and added them to the favourites folder on my psp and surprisingly PSPTube plays them too! Some of the wmvs played slow with bad audio but for the most part these 3 formats all work using this.

hi i have problem with the connection I use wpa tkip for connection. It always say error.
your supposed to put the DEVELOPER ID on the real line, not the example.

This is definitely a good app! The quality is better than youtube on PC. Spend the whole night watching youtube. But still need some improvementm, hope the new version will be out soon. GOOD JOB.
