Yup, from his last update a week ago, DickyDick1969 is back with the latest version of PiMPStreamer - v0.73. PiMPStreamer is a homebrew application that DickyDick1969 has been continually working on. It allows PSP owners to stream videos onto their handhelds in realtime.

According to the creator, the following updates have been made: PimpStreamer v.0.73
  • fixed several bugs (network selection, rss feeds and first dir crash)
  • RSS refresh via psp
  • added offline option
  • first image showing (realllllly basic, no zoom/resize (yet), no large images) (great thanks for lua player src, used the image code on psp)
  • intro movie
  • a few wishes (quit confirm)

Am I correct in saying this does not work on a MAC?

» WAN reqs?

I've tried this over the internet but had to turn the options all the way down and at that point the video and audio is degraded to *****.. anyone know the specs required to run videos over internet at full options?

Great stuff.

I seem to e only able to add three directories now, but i'll fiddle and see what I get.

In regards to WAN Reqs, there are none. Set bitrate accordingly with your upstream. If you want the highest quality over WAN youll need some big upstream bandwidth.

I've noticed when watching vids at 1000/64 the PSP is xfer'n somewhere around 300-500kB/s. so expect to get that sort of bandwidth with your provider.

Or better yet..... test it yourself.

» FFW and RWD Video

Hi guys,

I love this app, its the only homebrew i use everyday!!

anyway could someone please tell me if there is an option to ffw and rwd video that is streaming? i have tried the bumpers and that just changes the aspect ratio.

If i need to tweak anything, could someone please offer some help.

Many thanks!

ok, narrowed down the issue with the shared directories. I always have one missing, the first one thats added with the browse button. a little way around the problem is to add the directory twice.

im not sure if its because ive remove the rss feeds that come with it by default. its getting late....

In previos builds you used the dpad left and right for those functions. it was pretty unstable.

seems to just drop backt o menu if i use ffw now.

just use the left/right dpad to advance the time when you have the file higlighted in the menu.
