Peejay MIDP v0.2: MIDlets on your PSP |

Coder dickydick1969 of Pimpware.org just released homebrew application Peejay MIDP. This project was actually started way back November of last year with the release of Peejay v0.1 which allowed PlayStation Portable users to run Java on their handhelds.
Likewise, Peejay MIDP is a program that lets users run MIDlets on the PSP unit. MIDlet, just so you know, is a Java program for embedded devices. In simple terms, these are games and applications running on a mobile phone. The program runs, among other things, SNAKE and the demo java jad packages of the SUN J2ME (Java 2 Platform Micro Edition).
dickydick1969 noted that the right and left shoulder buttons activate the right and left menu buttons common to Nokia phones respectively. The developer also mentioned that more of the native functions of the said platform will be implemented in the future.

I really hope that you will make this fully compatible with all java apps... =)
I got runescape to run on this!!!! i'm so happy!! firs t you have to dump the java files and then you have to edit them so that the ip address it connects to is 127.0.0.1

The Runescape files don't contain a server, jackass. You're lying.
Runescape will never work on the psp because there is not enough memory and the more important part this is the wrong type of java if you want runescape...
You know you've done a good job when the king of ports tells you so...

And also, nothing else will run on this. I have tried many MID2P applets and they dont even show up on the selection list.
All I want is that this java will be compatible with runescape...
If it isnt work on it...

Hmm... It is still in very alpha , so I was happy to see some midp stuff play.. please give feedback about midlets not working!
RuneScape is J2SE. This is J2ME. They're different things.
It's so annoying having to explain this every time a Java port is done...
1: runescape is java SE and not ME.
2: the runescape client requires 64mb ram. the psp has only 32(FU sony).
3: who wants to play runescape?
4: you can't edit the excutable files.
5: the client files don't contain the world. the server files does. and nobody has the server files.
6: 127.0.0.1 isn't a runescape server!
why you can't play on 127.0.0.1 is because it connects to yourself...
127.0.0.1 is a shortcut to your own ip; try to ping 127.0.0.1 without a internet connection and you will succeed.
runescape is a stupid MMO, get a life loser! no one is interested in making psp able to play runescape because runescape plain out sucks and requires too much memory, so shut the hell up loser!!

you idiots i did get it to work. look at moparscape. it allows for people to create private servers and host them. just search for runescape private servers they are real
i did get it to run on my psp by compiling it into several java files which execute the basic server commands
i did everything. (I am no noob) btw why the hell is runscape so popular?! i signed up and then gave up at the bs begining. pathetic excuse for fighting. and the graphics? dont even get me started! i cant tell between a boy or a girl b/c the clothes are too similar. no bo0b$ either. its only for gfless NeRdS!
You guys think runescape sucks huh. I want this to work, but some other people said it dosen't work and I am proof of that. I've been playing runescape for 2 years, had a psp for one, and have been looking for a way to get it to work. I suggest you guys keep your comments to yourselves about how runescape sucks or not. By making fun of it tells me you have no lifes concidering you had nothing better to do than complain about it on forums.
