New IRC Client - PSPirc Released! |
Ó

Well, I personally am an IRC junkie. I prefer IRC over other 'newer' chat networks like MSN or AIM. And if you're like me, you'll sure love aserto's newest homebrew - An IRC client for the PSP. And get this straight. It's not just ANY IRC client. It supports a multitude of features like:
- DDC File reception
- Multichannel support
- Basic IRC commands support
- Private Message support!
- Improved DCC support
- Improved CTCP support
- Add IRC commands
- DCC multitransfer support
- Multiserver support

And finally, the download link. You'll need Lua Player for this, so if you don't have it, grab it below. Plus, if you're using it on 2.0 or above firmwares, you'll have to use it with Lua Player 0.16. For the people on 1.5, you should be using Lua Player 0.20.
Download: [PSPirc v0.1b for 1.5 PSPs]
Download: [Lua Player v0.20 for 1.5 PSPs]
Download: [PSPirc v0.1b for 2.0 PSPs]
Download: [Lua Player v0.16 for 2.0 PSPs]

great release, going to test out now. dcc and ctcp support, wonderful! and i agree with the author, irc>everything. its nice to see a fully functional irc client like this.
o__O; But sounds interesting for those who like it. ISO SHARING! lol
I connect to a server just fine, but can't join a channel for some reason...
I hope this mod chip comes out ffs. I would use this nice IRC progy but cbf to load up GTA, load up eLoader, load up LUA and then load up the IRC client just to use IRC....
how do I set this up on my 1.5 ? I intall the Lua Player 0.20 do i copy this to the root or to games ?
ddc file reception? doesnt that mean we could use irc channels like xboxemu to recieve our xbox files on psp? SWEET!!! keep up the good work homebrewers out there you make the psp scene an enjoyable one ;) ~NAte
omg just what I was looking ! nice!!!!!!!! thanks
I feel so sad for updating my PSP to 2.71 *cries* I had 2.6 before, and if this IRC app would work on 2.6 (when it gets released) I'm seriously gonna scream my lungs out!
great work
so this has direct client to client (DCC) file transfers? if so awesome. I wonder how fast the files will transfer? I guess it would only really be useful for really small files anyway cause who has the spare mem stix laying around to store the d/led files
Nice program....but could we have a NON-Lua player program please?
excellent work but i downgraded to 1.5 so i could avoid having to launch loaders. Lua player defeats the purpose of this.

maybe some of them. Server did work (did tested efnet.net) but when trying to join a channel, nothing happend. But, hope a new beta will be released soon, cuz this app has pontential to be good :D
