Nameless Mod of Popstation v2 |
Ó
In case you didn't quite catch the first release, this innocent looking nameless mod allows users to change the warning image loading screen. In simple terms, it is for you guys who can't stand the Bash/Command Prompt. Anyway, v2 now comes with ISO extraction support as well as support for compressed EBOOTs.
Hmm, it seems like this little app is going just dandy and fine. Maybe it would be a good idea to give it a name, eh? But then again, there's no real problem with it being known as the little Nameless Mod of Popstation v2.

amazing but this isn't really usefull^^
i dont understand the point of this when it just does what psp2psx gui did ages ago, only that is a lot easier to use than this... as far as the cd track bit goes you can just use the modded popstation that came out ages ago too,
It aint "it has support for compressed EBOOTs" - but "it allows for ISO Extraction in compressed EBOOTs"
For Peaple that do not see the sense behind it... simply dont use it...
It supports ISO Extraction in compressed EBOOTs... AND HELL - STOP COMPARING IT TO GUIs!
GUIs are only used by those that arent capable of mastering the Bash / Prompt... Cause that Guys that know Bash / Prompt definently will use it... as its faster - and more clean if you ask me...
Also - this is a fully independant popstation - it doesnt rely on a useless external GUI or something of that sort... :-/
i can't agree with you
Yes it is better to have an prompt access to all app (or most)
But i tend to think that all action that required the user to use a prompt is a bug.
A nice GUI would be as nice as prompt with a better look and feel
What has the better look or feel depends on the User... not all like GUI... and the Peaple that are more knowledged about such Stuff KNOW that the bash is the only way to go...
And you think of using the Bash as a Bug?
Thats like saying its bad to enter Text using a Keyboard... -.-
no point in this. the warning screen could be changed on PSX2PSP v.0.7.1
Everyone keeps mentioning that GUIs could do this a while ago. They're morons. This adds everything that was coded in external apps into one elegant application. This doesn't require base.pbp and if you wanted to write a GUI for it, all you would have to do is output the necessary stuff right to the command prompt. This makes all of the old bloated GUIs obsolete. Oh, Coldbird, by the way, does this version have a realtime progress calculation like LAME?
Congrats, Negi. You completely misspelled "retarded". A little bit of irony, yes?
I'm probably posting this in a terribly wrong spot, but: will there ever be a way to convert epsxe *.mcr memory card files to the *.dat files popstation eboots are using? I'm all for playing FF Tactics on the PSP, but I'd rather use my current save that I'm halfway finished on than start completely over... so much dialogue in the beginning... X_x;

Nice.
Congrats, you managed to be a prick over a typographical error. Thanks! My point, however, still stands. Oh, by the way, +P.
This is possible w/CWCheat right now. Check google for a guide.
Many thanks, Negi!
BALLS! It doesn't work with 3.03 OE-B. I'll just wait for a newer release rather than downgrade, I guess.
@Negi : I completely share that point... peaple that want to keep using their GUIs can still do so with that App... They just need to replace the popstation... and it saves them space as theres no need for a BASE.PBP anymore... -.-
I indeed like it when its all covered in one App...
And I might just do a Realtime Compressing / Packing Display...
With the Extraction Process of ISOs... I do it via Realtime Reading... Meaning I dont have the whole Index-Header loaded into RAM... So I cant tell how far I processed the File already...
But I will do my best to built that Feature into popstation.
@anon: I will see what I can do... maybe I will do a Decompressor for the Memory Cards that are stored in the Savedata Folder... Just like I did with the Savegame Editors long ago...
This is very useful. People only complain b/c they dont know how to use it so they say it's not useful.
