More cursor freedom in PSPWrite v1.0.3 |
Ó
Making the Sony PlayStation Portable seem more like an end-all, be-all Swiss Knife tool instead of just a handheld might be PSP homebrew dev Zx-81's hobby, as he comes once more with his array of nifty homebrew applications. This time, he bears the latest version of PSPWrite, making it version 1.0.3, updated from PSPWrite version 1.0.2. Let's check out what's new with this version by reading the changelog below:- Add option to change the font size (8x8 or 6x10)
- Use Analog pad to move faster
- New CPU clock (from 133 to 333)
- the cursor move only on already written text.
- the cursor can move everywhere.

Music PRX isn't compatible with this homebrew, and that is really horrible news for me! I live for music!
I will have a look on this issue,
Zx
I don't like how when I am selecting a word to type, the cursor moves if I press too hard (and that isn't very hard at all). Maybe you could make it to where you have to press the joystick all the way to make the cursor move, or maybe even a button combination, because lightly tapping the joystick is a pain! And using Joysens is also annoying because it conflicts with Music PRX. If you change the cursor to maybe only being the D-Pad and the analog stick being the selector for letters, that would be great, since it seem like the D-Pad is mapped for cursor movement anyways.
Yes you're right ! it's really buggy ... sorry ...
I've uploaded a new version on my blog (same location) :

Sorry,

I love this program now that you fixed the cursor problem. I am really glad that you updated it fast. You are a genius and this will probably be one of my favorite programs. Now I have an excuse to use my PSP in class :)
I believe that the menu for the virtual keyboard should be changed. The " ? " and the " ' " should replace the other characters that are hardly used in writing like " ( " and " | " or " ) ". Then you could put the " ( " and " | " or " ) " in the R Trigger section and replace the " ^ " and " * " characters. Then you could put the " ^ " and " * " anywhere else where there is open space. This specific order would increase proficiency greatly by people who are writing and would give the program a more comfortable feel
This would make writing a lot faster because punctuations and questions marks are far more important than the rarely used " ( "and " | " and " ) "
