This is actually pretty cool. Well done.
by - 2006-06-16 19:09:51
Nice

I ould like to say, that your portals are awesome, and for poor 2.7+ users there, this is the only thing that comes close to homebrew! Keep up the great work damnit! =D

The lawyers will be quite pleased with this. This infringes on so many copyrights, all at once, that it is actually funny. I find it very hard to believe that you got the source to Windows XP, edited it and compiled it to be less than 500k, and then got the rights from Microsoft to use the kernel and name of Windows, or even to use the likeness of the Windows gui. In other words, ROFL ROFL, LOLOL, it's fun to break the law...

To commenter 4

This is just a website that is designed to look like Windows XP MC 2005. I even say in the Credits that I am not affiliated with Microsoft and that MS Windows XP is copyright MS.

@ 4

You are making a FOOL of yourself by posting that. ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL

All Firmware

This portal can run on almost all firmware (with Links2 browser). To take advantage of all features, 2.71 (for demos) is recommended but not required.
by SuperVegeta - 2006-06-16 21:10:28

by - 2006-06-16 21:29:10
YOU OWN YOU OWN YOU OWN

THIS IS SICK!!!!!! AWSOME JOB, anyway for it to automatticly start automatticly when you load your psp? Also, wat does update do? update ur firmware?
by - 2006-06-16 21:32:51
Thanks

The only way to start this up is to set it as a bookmark, or it can be your homepage so when you start the browser up. The update feature is a update manager for the portal, so you can recieve updates from the PSP itself.

by - 2006-06-17 03:41:52
Why

Content cant be displayed... Why?
by Temprix - 2006-06-17 04:04:50
Great!

Haha I have the older version set as my homepage right now...Time to play with this one! Kickass.
by - 2006-06-17 06:24:47
Windows? - i dont think so

Why is there a windows logo next to the hard drive picture on the start menu? PSP doesn't have windows u idiot, this really annys me, why are you copying windows for?
by - 2006-06-17 06:36:35
how?

i follow the instructions but if i play the file "psp" in the root of my psp then it overwrites my who system, its crap!! how about you explain how to get it to work better!!! i think i will stick with nothing, if you cant explain it clearly!!!
by - 2006-06-17 12:04:14
#26

The Instructions are wrong. It says: Extract/Place the folder "PSP" in the ROOT directory. But what you need to do is open the folder up to the MCP folder and place it in your Common folder. Then follow the rest of the instructions.
by - 2006-06-17 12:06:45
Idiot

It is just a portal designed to look like xp. No ***** Windows isnt on the psp. It has some games and some apps. It runs through the web browser. It is all HTML and javascript.
by - 2006-06-17 13:06:02
ahhaahhaahh

Gee... I can't wait until PSP 2 comes out...
by sim - 2006-06-17 13:34:15
no no no

this portal has nothing to it. I dont no why they blag about it being only 500kb. That means there isn't much on it. Its no where near as good as i hoped. I had version 1.5 and this is not much better. I dont no why it took so lonng to release. 2 Months!! And the previous time period was much less. And there were much more features between 1.5 and 1.0 They need to release this again quick and put in more features!!More games, applications etc
by - 2006-06-17 16:20:31
im lost

ok well i got it on my psp now how do i make it my homepage

It is forbidden by law to duplicate, copy, adapt, translate, change, modify, distribute, display or transfer copyrighted material such as the Royale theme from Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition whether for profit or otherwise or for the benefit of individuals, an organization or company, without the prior consent of Microsoft. This should be removed from the front page
by - 2006-06-17 17:34:59
Calm down

My god...this isn't hurting anybody. You are obviously just some low-life who lives in his Mom's basement, eats dehyfradted fruits and granola bars, and has to find ways to make everyone else suffer equal or greater embarrasment than him. Grow up.

Comment 32: It is forbidden by law to duplicate, copy, adapt, translate, change, modify, distribute, display or transfer copyrighted material such as the Royale theme from Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition whether for profit or otherwise or for the benefit of individuals, an organization or company, without the prior consent of Microsoft. This should be removed from the front page I am trying to figure out what is your problem. Are jealous someone can make something you cant, or are you just a snob to everyone. This is not an emulator. It is a WEBSITE! Last time I checked its not illegal to have a website with stuff about windows on it.
by - 2006-06-17 20:15:29
the flash games wont work on 2.5

those will need 2.7 :(
by drew4237 - 2006-06-17 22:22:22

33 & 35: Like i said in another topic... I was just saying for the safety and well being of QJ.net and PSPUpdates these types of games and/or Applications should not make front page do to breach in the respective owners copyright. 35: Yes, it isn't useing the Windows code, but Microsoft's Copyright does not just protect their code it also protects their graphics. 33: Yes actually i do live with my parents due to the fact i'm not 18... As for me being some low-life... I wouldn't consider myself a low-life when i'm trying to protect PSPUpdates and QJ.net from any legal troubles as has been seen due to StarcraftPSP.

Can we get the source for the AIM login thingy? I don't feel safe logging into a web-based AIM from some homebrew thing. =P
by justin138 - 2006-06-18 12:46:09
nevermind..

I'm stupid. I just realized the thing is just a web portal to the AIM site, huh?
