Map This! 0.4.60 beta

Deniska has been hard at work coding a new version pf Map This! for PSP, a nifty little application that turns your run-of-the-mill PSP into a fully-fledged map viewer on your portable screen, capable of locating points of interest and directing you to where you need to go using a GPS device.

This application will ensure you never get lost, if you use it correctly of course. This new beta version of the popular GPS map viewer features something for US homebrew fans to treasure - geolookup for US addresses as well as the new GUI. Here's the changelog for Map This! v0.4.60 beta:
  • Address lookup for US addresses (via TIGER line data)
  • Reverse lookup (shows the closest known house numbers or intersections)
  • New logo, startup screen, wallpaper (contributed by DaxDce)
  • E-designed interface: new fonts, menus, some layout changes, more skinable data panels, battery & signal icons, etc.
  • Some bug fixes: clock display, POI layout problem, etc.
  • Bundled with small NYC map and corresponding geodata file (~1Mb)
The readme contains information on how to create your own US Geodata file. This is a beta version though, so there may be quite a few bugs in this release. So, if you experience any problems which prevent you from using this application, we suggest you replace this beta with the last stable release, Map This! v0.4. Sometimes getting an application like this to work specifically for you can be a little difficult, so make sure you check out our tutorial on Map This! and the Map This! official Wiki if you aren't sure how to use it.

OE *IS* 1.5. At least as far as homebrew is concerned. Anything that runs on 1.5 will run on OE (except things that alter firmware, of course).

# Not working with sony gps.. ;-(Guest 2007-01-11 11:33
Well I tried with official sony gps and now it's not recognized yet. I hope Deniska is workig on making it work.

I live in Europe and now i think there is not yet a software that can be used here with the official sony gps..

I tried maplus but it seems that has only japanese maps. And it can't hook to the satellite so i'm not even sure if the gps is correctly working with devhook and 3.02 fw emulated.. :-(
