LuaPlayer v0.20 Mod 2 |
Ó
The Riddling Sphinx, otherwise known as cools, has released what he calls LuaPlayer .20 Mod. This new mod brings additional features to the venerable and beloved LuaPlayer that has seen so much use throughout the homebrew scene. Along with bringing you the option to select a speed for your processor to run at, there are also enhancements that will improve 3D mapping. Now, this mod is at its second release. As the developer himself admits, the projects is still a work in progress that currently has precious few features to call its own. However, as a proof of concept and an indication of things to come, the mod has contributed something significant to the marketplace of ideas and could pave the way for some very useful progress in the future. Currently, aside from the features mentioned in the first release (which you can read about here), System.setCpuSpeed(speed) and Gum.lookAt() are now included features of LuaPlayer v0.20 Mod 2.
Anyone who has used this mod before, along with anyone who's willing to comment after trying it out, please tell us about what you experienced. For those of you who are familiar with developing for the LuaPlayer, the developer has included the source, along with a list of features, which are available with the file.

hahahaaha
omg second post
omg 3rd post - GET OVER IT *****S This is not news - luaplayer is more about the source changeablility than public releases - to the point where i think there should be no compiled public releases, just notes to tell people when new src is available...
#3 I think your wrong. This is definately news as not everyone wants to compile LuaPlayer themselves, quite understandable really. Pointing people to the source is useful for developers, not gamers. Although I would agree there are too many frequent posts on the same topic. It seems as-if the smallest change warrants a new post -- it doesn't. You ought to reserve posting news until a project has made significant progress, perhaps reaching a milestone build. Detailing every minor change is too much. I'd like to see more LuaPlayer development though -- keep up the work.

you need luaplayer .20 eboot (official) and replace the eboot in the non% folder with mine for 1.5. for 1.0 and 2.XX you need to replace the eboot in the luaplayer folder with mine.
