LUA Ys-OS v1.0 Public Released |
Ó

Yossi Starz has released his LUA Ys-OS version 1.0. Ys-OS is the first multi-processing shell written in Lua scripting language. Basically, that means you can run multiple programs on it at the same time. I have to say, this one is really cool to see. I opened an explorer window, a star field demo and a png image in the mean time. The star field was running smoothly as long as it's focused on. The GUI looked highly reliable. Here is the description of this version:

wow, I'll be dow nloading this!
Can you confirm if this works on v 2.6
what would you want this for (or any other shell for that matter)
yer mum
view photos and listen to music at the same time. Makes it look a bit nicer I guess. On IR Shell there is wifi file tranfer and also the ability to play brew and listen to music at the same time.
well i think this is great - theres not much you can do with it at the moment but it looks promissing, ive been waiting for some kind of shell i can use on my 2.0 firmware!! Well done and keep up the good work
bob
Well im going to tear it out and add alot to it.
I dont hope it will include any things relieable on 2.0 FW, since that would make it difficult to make it run on FW 2.6.
Perhaps IR support and or USB.
yea it worx oon 2.6 but appears slow and a bit buggy
Gr8 release anyway!
I agree :b with the poster above me, but I think that it is very promising being the only working 2.01+shell! Keep up the good work!
where can i get the ISO?
will that lua player work on 2.0+
God it gets so old seeing poeple using the word noobie all the time :P....God didn't die so you can be superior :P. ANYWAY, glad to see this type of stuff coming along so good, and keep up the good work to those who actually do something instead of whining like most people.
