LUA Reader Beta

psp3Benh has dished out something sweet for LUA coders: the LUA Reader Beta. It's a program that opens lua files on your PSP. It's still a basic application, the coder warns, and you have to first rename your file to index.lua to view it. Moreover, the app only lets you keep one index.lua file in the lua reader at a time.

To install, first, unzip the file and put the contents into the game folder on your memory stick. Rename a lua file to index.lua in order to view it. Then, put it into the luareader folder in the game folder on your memory stick.

There's a lot of room for feedback on this app. benh says this is his first C app and he's still got a list of to-dos in the pipeline: He'll update it so that you don't have to rename the file to index.lua to view it. We can also look forward to benh adding a file viewer so you can browse the memory card for lua files as well. As it's still in a beta state, we will be on the lookout for updates of this app as they come. Meanwhile, download the file as benh has also included a sample piece of code for you to test out.

"Benh has dished out something sweet for LUA coders: the LUA Reader Beta. It's a program that opens lua files on your PSP." Did the person the wrote this know anything about the PSP? There is already one! What the hell is the point of making another?!

HUH?

is this like a text reader but reads index.lua instead of *.txt, pdf etc or an actual alternative to luaplayer? if it's a text reader then #1 is absolutely right. if its a player then join the luaplayer team Benh

Everyone here is very wise. And yes, QJ do use the same pic when they can't find one. And their Photoshop banners for big articles look like ass.
