Lua plox - Image 1 Lua plox - Image 2

Snaps to xploren for telling us about this app that's lingering in our forums! Let's take a short break from all the PopStation GUI releases and talk about this - clay_a passed by our forums to tell us about his release, a Shell he fondly calls LUA pl0x (which means "lua please"). According to him, this app is the product of all the Lua tutorials he found and read over the net. From our perspective, he is on to a good start.

According to him, this release offers a complex windowing system with an easy-to-use interface. For the app's future releases, the dev plans on including the 3D APIC calls to allow the interface to display 3D objects and points. For now, he also shares that "in an effort to keep code stealing out of this projects way, the 500+ line script file has been compiled. My next release will be under the GNU General Public License">GNU license, and will be open source."

On the other hand, xploren seems to like this app a lot. Why? Not only did he inform us about it, he also went out of his way and EBOOT'ed the application for you guys.  The download links are down there, you know what to do.

Interface looks nice. Too bad it also looks like a psix knockoff. Good luck on the project tho.

yeah it does look like exis. I wish fluff had that still on tha go. I bet secretly its finished and looks awesome and a few very select people get to use it, namely fluff and naoneo. This looks like it was built with the source to psix 1.10. Nice job if its all original!!!

you are aware that fluff and naoneo are, in fact, the same person? O_o

it looks promising... i guess... i hate using the analog stick for a mouse though... i might fall in love if it didnt have the feature and went with keys instead. it does look sharp though i have to say.

Shouldn't be taking naoneo's artwork. Have some respect for the most promising shell around -psix- that was ravaged by all the kids who can't respect a quality author.

I've been around psix since the start (along with some other good beta testers) till the end of it's life and it was making real progress, shame it had to go that way.

But anyways, the source for psix is released, I don't see why people don't build on that since a lot of the hard work is completed.

I am sorry, I did not know about PSIX when I started creating this. I did a search and they do look the same, so I am very sorry.

# Finally a lua app with an EBOOT!!!Guest 2006-12-29 14:14
This is great, i'm glad someone that programs with lua realized that people want an EBOOT to load the program. I don't know about everyone else, but I personally hate having to load lua up if I want to run a lua app. C'mon guys, just follow this wonderful example and make EBOOTs, especially for that SMS program ;)

COOL BEANZ DOOD!!!!!!
