Califrag has released his version of color flasher (so-called stuck pixel fixer), LUA ColorPlay v16,777,216. In this program written in Lua, it is possible to flash 16-Million color on your screen. You can have the program looping the whole 16M colors on its own, or adjust the range you want it to flash. There is also a battery life display and a world clock setting in the program.

Many wonder what causes stuck or dead pixels? Well it's pretty simple... the
psp's screen is made up of tiny transistors and each one controls one pixel on
the screen. (480*272=130,560 transistors!!) So it's very possible that one or
two transistors might be bad. This causes a DEAD pixel which simply you cannot
do anything with... The transistor is dead and you must replace the TFT
screen.
Stuck pixels on the other hand, and pixels which have suffered from a voltage spike or drop, and are set a permanent color on the screen. As the screen refreshes, each transistor receives a certain voltage which displays to corresponding color in the pixel. It's possible to unstick these pixels by giving the transistor the right amount of voltage to trigger that color again and get the pixel refreshing correctly. However with so many possible colors it's hard to get the correct voltage to that transistor to trigger that pixel again.

The script I coded will cycle through all 16 million + colors in attempt to catch that stuck pixel. The user can choose to cycle through the colors going Forwards, Reverse or even Randomly. You also have the option to manually increment the R G B values +/- 1, flash the screen full black, full white, full red, full green, full blue and take screenshots. There is a built-in clock and battery level indicator as this does suck up the battery juice pretty well.

Ohhh I so hope this works on my PSP (the lua script AND fixing my stuck pixel). I'm at work now so I can't test it ... damn I can't wait 'till I get home. 3.5 hours left untill I can leave :( Anyone with success stories using this script? *prays*

i have a pixel that is black when viewed at angles and normal at other angles, does this work for that?
this is a nice prog.... i think its working..... it takes a loooooooonnngggg time tho this thing will generate 16387064 colors..... coz R B G each has 256 colors so multiply each and u get 16387064.... mine is still not done... but i only hav 1 dead pixel and i could barely see it.... but wenever i tilt my psp in an angle... the lcd looks like its pushed down on the top... this is really nice but it this thing can go faster it would be better
Um is there a program like this i can use on my laptops lcd? Its got one green stuck pixil and its annoying as hell

Actually, ther are 8355840 transistors. Remember: each "pixel" in lua is 8 by 8 pixels on the psp. How do you think PMP has a higher resolution? Also, why do you think a stuck pixel is so small? (480*8)*(272*8)=8355840

I hope this works! I got 2 pixels on my PSP that I'm not sure are stuck or dead. They both kinda change colors when I look at them at different angles. Well, I'm gonna try it now. Wish me luck........
