Linux QPSPmanager: a PBP file manager - Image 1

One of our readers
Michael "mEo" Sena (thanks dude!) recently sent in a tip that homebrew developer Bernat Rafales Mulet has come out with Linux QPSPmanager v2.0.1. This PBP File manager for Linux was created as a user friendly GUI for packing and unpacking PBP files, directory generation and execution of binary files within the PSP's.

This program was developed in C++ while the GUI and file manipulation is handled by the QT Library. The original plan for this program was for it to be used under Linux as it was already ported to different platforms. The developer gave word that the program should be easy to port to other platforms if someone wished to do so. Here's a complete list of all its features:
  • Unpacks PBP files and selects automatically the icon and background files from the source file.
  • Extracts the program name included in the PBP file and sets it as default output directory.
  • Extracts the ELF of the PBP file and packs a fake PBP file without the ELF for showing in the menu of the PSP.
  • Allows to select custom icon and background files to use in the menu.
  • Allows to select custom video and music files to use in the menu.
  • Allows to select the output directory on the PSP and the actual PSP directory, which is saved as an option for further usages, so you only have to configure it once (as long as the PSP directory does not change).
  • Provides support for backup the savegames on the PSP to the computer and viceversa.
  • Allows to compress ISO files to CISO files.
  • Allows to expand CISO files to ISO files.
  • Manages the ISO/CISO files on the PSP, allowing to delete them and copy them compressed or non compressed to the PSP.
So download it and try it out. If you're using an older version of this program, the developer gave word that this release fixes a few bugs and added some debug information to help pinpoint any more problems with the program.

actually...

After looking at the about section of this app it seems to be meant as multi-platform so, I think it is meant to be used on Wine so it can be used on windows and linux.
